Paper jam 1. I slid the pannel left 2. I removed the ink 3. I tried to remove the paper then it ripped. There is a 1 to 3 inch piece of paper stuck and i cannot get it out

Hello, To solve this problem try follow this steps
1. Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.

2. Turn off the printer.

3. Remove any paper trays, inspect them for wrinkled or damage paper.

4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.

5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly
The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together,try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper.

8. Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

3. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.

4. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

5. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

6. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper . Don't force anything.

7. Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

The paper jammed can be found in the paper tray, remove the paper at the paper tray and inspect the roller for small pieces of paper jammed.

The paper can be found in the ink cartridge compartment, open the cartridge door and remove the ink cartridges, look for posibble paper jammer. Also once remove, check also the cartridge carrier if does not stuck up or jammed (cause this might me the problem). Turn off your printer and then move the cartridge head using your hand moving to the from right to left side and from left side to right side for 2-3 times. Move it gently.

Paper can be found in the rear access door if it is accessible. Inspect some paper jammed there.

Hi Good day!! Maybe you have a paper jam that cause your printer to alarm.
To clear a rear-feed paper jam:

1. Turn off printer
2. Turn platen knob to back paper out of printer. Remove any ripped pieces of paper.
3. Reload paper, turn printer back on and press FF/LOAD button.

If your paper keeps jamming the chances are excellent that you have bits of paper stuck in the paper in the paper path. To eliminate this problem:

1. Turn off printer.
2. Use platen knob to back paper out of printer.
3. Remove the paper separator.

2. Now slid craddle to the far left.
3. Check if there are any tiny piece of paper etc...... remove them.
4. Now put back together, plug in, and error code should not show up again.

Generally theres still a small piece stuck somewhere. Remove the back where the paper feeds through and check there. Then open the top so you can see the ink head and check around there. That should do it. The printer sometimes wont remove the jam until you open that top lid.
Also try switching it on and off again just to be sure.
If it's still there, the only other way is ripping it apart to find that pesky bit of paper still stuck.

Reinspect the paper path. 10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved. alternative : Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

there is still a piece somewhere,
1-where you put the paper there should be a lever,this tells the machine paper is present to print.
2-At the exit there is another lever telling it paper is going out and if there is a paper there.

Check to make sure these levers are free and can move easily, one may be stuck. Maybe you ripped the paper when trying to remove and a piece was left behind.
