Question about LG Dryers

1 Answer

LG DLE0332W Electric Dryer- The dryer is a year old. Problem started about a month ago. Dryer gets hot but cloths are not dry when cycle is done. Timer times out too fast. Problem is the same if used on sensor dry or manual dry. Changing setting dose not change the problem. Thanks for your help.

Each time I put the dryer on a cycle it keeps changing the time left to dry the clothes.

Sd7 will not stRt timer on auto dry cycles when regular or medium heat setting is used. Other heat settings work fine as does the time dry and air fluff cycles.

Had the same problem, dryer got hot but didn't stay hot. sounds like you have a bad sensor and it sounds like it's out of warranty.

I have a neptune dryer I bought from a used appliance store about 6 months ago. The cycle comes on but there is no hot air. Clothes are not dry after 3 full cycles. I am not even sure if its gas. Don't...

you will need to get behind the dryer and disconnect the vent tube, try drying a load of clothes with the vent tube disconnected if it drys then the tube is the problem and needs to be cleaned out. If it is not drying at all then it is a few things, I am assuming its electric here is a website that will help:

DLE0332W--dryer continually runs like its in wrinkle free mode. Will not complete regular dry cycle.

You may have an issue with the control board and it will not shut down once the cycle has been completed. You will need a qualified LG technician to diagnose the problem.
Good luck

It takes at least 2 60 minute cycles to dry clothes. Not even 2 years old yet. Not a new problem has always been this way. What is the deal.

Check the blower fan which is mounted underneath the drum on my DLE2514W front loading LG dryer. I experienced poor drying along with a loud thump at the start of each cycle. At first I thought it was a bad roller but later found that the blower fan had separated from its bracket so it was not turning with each turn of the moter but rather spinning freely.

Dle2532 lg dryer, cooling light is always on

I'll take a stab that you use dryer softener sheets. These will deposit a coating on the two metal sensor bars (about 4 inches long, very near the lint filter inside the drum) which prevents the sensor from "seeing" that the clothes are still wet, so the dryer jumps to the cool down portion of the cycle. Clean the metal bars off and it should work again. (note: the bars are not in the cycle if you choose time dry instead of using the automatic cycles)

Dryer not drying clothes

I'm guessing it is electric? Do the clothes get very hot? If not, one or both of your elements may be bad. If it does get hot inside after running for 15mins, then perhaps your exhaust piping is clogged up. Can you tell if the output blowing from your dryer is a weak or powerful flow?
Let me know.

I'm sorry to hear of your problem with your LG dryer. I have one as well and it works very well. I found my owners manual. It has a web site WWW.LGSERVICE.com. They also have a toll free number 1-877-714-7486. Perhaps either of these will help you find an answer. Good Luck
