ORION TV REMOTE CODE HERE IT IS!!!

Hey I have a Philips Universal remote for an Orion tv. My remote is the following: Model #: PHL PMDVR8K The only way I found my Model was on http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd site. Then I found http://www.fixya.com I called the Philips Accessories # 919-573-7854 and unfortunately there is not a tollfree number. I gave him the only numbers I could find on the remote where the batteries go. CL019, 36/05, and PMDVD6. He had me hold the Code search button down until the light stayed lite. The press the tv button, the light should still be on, then put in 115. Last hit the power button & it worked!! I hope it helps out everyone that needs it.

Hey there, have a marshall v-r171p-hda. at the top of the screen for about an inch and a half down there is a useable picture, from there down though the picture comes in, fades out turns to noise, ghosts...

More likely to have bad T-CON circuits which is part of the LCD panel assembly, see example here (it can be top and botttom or left and right problem)

Not much you can do but replacing the panel.

I took my PS3 to a friends and we used an HDMI cable to hook it to his tv and when he brought it back to my house and now it wont work, i use the red ywllow and white audio/video plugs. why wont my...

hey, when you used the HDMI cable at your friends place, the PS3 display got set to 1080p. to bring it back to standard definition (red, white, yellow wire), follow these steps.

turn off you TV and PS3

turn on your TV

With your PS3 turned off, press and hold the Power button on the front of the PS3 for about 10 seconds (the system will beep as normal as it starts up but after 7-10 seconds it will beep again). The video settings should now be reverted. Doing this will also reset any theme settings.

Now you should be able to see your PS3 menu on the TV.

Happy to help :)

There three common boards (Powers supply, Y-SUSTAIN, Z-SUSTAIN) that go out, since you have two TV to try out, you should check the Z and Y sustain boards.
What is the model number?
Try looking here for free service manuals:
www.elektrotanya.com

You can read anyon of the PLASMA TV training manual to get basic understanding how PLASMA TV works since they all have the same basic function blocks.

When i turn on my tv there is no picture so the tv restarts by it's self over and over untill it gets a picture. when the problem started it would happen 1 or 2 times. now it may restart 5 or more times...

Your TV most likely has faulty capacitors in the power supply section of the TV. This is a failry common problem.

  • No video, Power light is on or blinking.
  • TV is making a clicking noise.
  • TV takes a while to come on
  • Screen is very dim or flickers.
2c07611.png The number one cause for the symptoms above are faulty capacitors within your Plasma or LCD TV. The number one reason that these parts fail is that TV manufacturers often times use lower grade capacitors in their efforts to reduce costs. After several years these lower grade parts will tend to fail first. To insure that these parts will not fail again its imperative that they are replaced with high temp, high quality, low-ESR caps. You can find the parts online from sources like Digikey or you can get complete reair kits incuding the parts, repair instructions, and support from www.TvRepairKits.com
