Garmin Streetpilot i3 GPS cannot load map to memory...

Try to load from cd that was load into computer and followed on screen instructions now connect the usb cable from GPS to computer and went to some steps and at one point on screen will saynot communicating with gps memory card. A message says if you continue to get this error, please check the following URL for additional information www.garmin.com/usbgpsfaq. PLease help me out so i can use my Garmin Streetpilot i3 gps.

I have my gps plugged into the computer with USB cable. I get as far as unplug and plug back in and the computer will recognize my GPS. It goes to photoshop and I load that. Then when I hit next it comes up with error and tells me to come to this website to get answer.
