Question about Mitsubishi WD65737 65" DLP TV

2 Answers

Mitsubishi WD-65737 DLP TV. TV powers on, green light starts blinking and blue screen shows up. TV then shuts down. I retrieved the error code and it shows "1-2". Any ideas? TV is less than a year old and the lamp is not the issue.

Thanks for the solution. I downloaded software from the Mitsubishi website to a USB thumb drive and then uploaded to the TV to correct the problem. Detailed download instructions are also available on the site. I had ordered a lamp and was waiting for it to be delivered - I guess I'll keep it for when my lamp actually does go bad, since that seems to be an issue. Does anyone know about how many hours you typically get out of a lamp?

Hi Mike,

May I know if the LED light at the front panel has a pattern of flashes or flashing continuously in green color.

Please check if you can access the "Self diagnostic screen" by following the steps below.
- To activate, press the front panel "Activity" and "Channel down" buttons at the same time and hold for 5 secs. The Status led will then flash a two digit code. Example, if the error code is "23" the led light flashes 2 times(blink, blink) pause and then flash 3 times(blink, blink, blink). Let me know the error code, it will help to diagnose where the fault came from.
Note : the TV must be in shutdown not switched off, or AC power cord is removed because the code will reset to "12" means no error. Use the front panel buttons not on the remote control. If you can't access the self diagnostic, press and hold the "Activity" button on the front panel for 5 secs before entering the "self diagnostic" code.

Kind Regards,

Mjsazon

Mitsubishi 73" DLP powers on, through welcome

If you are getting at turn on source and back ground is all blue the set will shut down rather quickly;

I have a suggestion, if it works fine, and if not it will not hurt anything.

with original Mitsubishi remote turn set on and then Menu, 1,2,3, enter.

This is the soft reset that most of these sets have (cannot be sure since Model number above is correct?)

The reset button on the front (if it has it) just shuts the set down and reboots the DM unit inside.

Most of these sets when it is pressed the green light will blink for about 70 seconds and go out; that is the DM unit rebooting and the soft restart is something else.

Let me know what you find before you rate this information.

When you turn the TV on it stops at the blue Mitsubishi screen and the power button just blinks. You have to then unplug the TV to power down. Pushing the power button on the TV or remote will not power...

Hello,
There is a software update that is available for some Mitsubishi dlp models. The wd-65c9 is one of them. When I experienced your problem, I went to the website, downloaded the update, and installed it on my tv and boom, its fixed. It's super easy, free, and takes a few minutes.
