Sounds like it is overheating. put it on a hard surface like a counter top and see if it does it again. if it works beter there, then you may need to buy a cooler for laptops. you could also have the Processor (CPU) going bad

It runs at first 10 mins then it suddenly turns off without warn?

hi this sounds like you might have either a overheating fault or the "switch" ( not a real switch more like a little silver tube looking item) on the motherboard may be at fault, you need to check the CPU heat sink and fan are up to the job, also check the graphics card if you have a separate one, it might be overheating, turn it on with the case open and just check the CPU fan see if is turning fast or even better still access the bios and go to the CPU utility and check the fan ratio there it shouldn't be less than 2500 to 3500 rpm depending on the board and CPU ok...hope this helps please vote thanks

Sony KDS60A2000 shuts off after about being on for 10 minutes, gives a warning set will turn off as it is overheating. Vacummed around the vents and that hasn't made any difference.

check all the fans and make sure they are clean and not plugged up w/dust.also check how many times the red light flashes on the front of the tv after shutting down.4 flashes indicates a bad fan.

I have a Samsung rear projection tv, it used to turn itself off every 5 - 10 minutes for about an hour then it seemed to work ok. I removed the rear cover and cleaned the cooling fans, has worked fine since.

Warning! Don't do this unless you are competent with electrical devices.
