Canon mp830 printer won't turn on

I am experiencing the same "no power" problem and am confused by everyone mentioning the power adapter or supply for this printer. The MP 830 does not have an external adapter or supply-it has a simple plug. The power supply or adapter is most certainly intenal to the unit. So how do you replace that?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE ABOUT BUT I CAN NOT GET MY HANDS ON A CANON AC ADAPTER POWER SUPPLY K30263. I LOOKED ON EBAY NO HELP.

My Canon mp830 printer will not turn on after a power outage that flickered off and on about 4 times. I had the power supply connected to a surge protector.

was on...went to use it to turn it on and it wont turn on. tried different power cords and power locations????

I've recenty gotten my hands on a Mp830 that was hit by lightning, and does not turn on.

I've taken it apart and by swapping power supplies (Canon AC Adapter K30263). i've gotten it to work. Called canon, and they do not sell that individual item.

So to the people who're having problems with their printer turning on, replace the power adapter if you can get your hands on one. Ebay has a printer on there right now that turns on, but has other problems.

Please stop! First you must try the simple solution described elsewhere.
Unplug unit. allow it to sit for 20 minutes. then plug it in. hit 'power' button. it worked for me (and others)

Wow, the unplug and wait trick worked perfectly. I had to reinstall the power pack because I was sure it was bad. After reading this, I reinstalled the pack and plugged it back in, and WALA!!! it worked! Outstanding!

Many thanks trubbanot. The unplugging the printer for ~20 minutes worked perfectly for me two. We actually have two Canon MP830 printers in the house. Both stopped working after a power outage today. The unplug/then plug trick worked for both.
