A well know problem to the Behringer Truth B2031A speakers is radio interference and noise. I had the same problem with mine and found a solution on a forum!

If you open the speakers, you'll see a cable from the main board that runs to the 2 lights at the front (on/limit LED's). It functions as an antenna... Disconnect it and your speakers are silent, finally. (OK no leds, but I can live with that).

Great solution! While not quieting my monitors completely, this tip pointed me toward a complete solution: Shielded wiring for the LED wiring and a screening cover made with sheet metal. If you look at the PCB they are mounting holes for what should had be a shield. (a leftover from Behringer...)
    Greetings!

ZaD MoFo could you elaborate on this screening cover? Where exactly do you put it, and what exactly should it be shaped like? thanks

Where can I find the entire circuit board for TRUTH B2031A

Unfortunately Behringer equipment is hard to get parts for generically. You may be able to order the whole amp from behringer but I doubt it. I have had lots of problems repairing them for that reason and I will no longer use any of their stuff. The IC's could be repaired but can't find any record or crossover to any of their output transistors. It appears they are custom made for Behringer. Sorry, I can't help any more than that.

The fuse blows seconds after the unit is switched on. No fatal accident occurred to cause the problem.

One of the power amps has failed. Take unit in for servicing unless you are electronically adept.

Here is schematic:

http://elektrotanya.com/behringer_b2031.pdf/download.html

Scroll down to "get manual" and click on that to download. Ignore other download links.

The unit uses LM3886 power amp chips. Likely one has shorted. Use a 40 watt light bulb in series with the input power cord to act as a resetable fuse to avoid wasting fuses during troubleshooting and repair.

Just bought a pair of used Beringers Truth b2031a monitors. one of which doesnt work anymore at all... opened the back of it (took those 6 screws out) and saw that the power connection has been cut of......

Here is the service manual schematics for your speakers:

http://elektrotanya.com/behringer_b2031.pdf/download.html

Scroll doen to "get manual" and click on it to download the manual... Do not click on the other downloads at the site, they are for viewers you don't need.

Take the schematics to a COMPETENT electronic service technician to get units repaired. You obviously bought units that had been hacked before...

I have a Behringer Truth B2030A speaker. Today, when I switched it on, the power LED did not light up, and I am getting nothing from it.

A common problem is the power cord NOT being fully seated... push it in hard. Beyond that, take it in for repair.

Hum and Buzz Ground Loop

Best way is with balanced audio lines. Use either XLR or TRS cables IF your devices have those connections.

Also, do NOT use light dimmers as these are often a source of the higher frequencies that cause buzz.

Also power ALL the interconnected audio devices from a single source outlet rrather than from mulltiple building receptacles.
