I think you have to enter an ip to access your router like 100,101,1 or something and it goes into your router setings. Otherwise you can just unplug your ethernet, unplug your router. Then plug in your router..wait for the green light, then plug in your eithernet. Sometimes you need to disable the hardware firewall and install a software firewall...those things are hard to work around.
