Will not print paper jam light comes on

if the printer take in one side of the paper and then stop or jam, then most probably something, small item was caught or trapped in between the roller or wheel

The printer thinks there is a paper jam-when we ask it to print it doesn't "grab" the next piece of paper-it clicks and then give a "paper jam" message please help

Typically these failure-to-feed problems are due to worn rollers - the feed roller is so worn
that it fails to feed the sheet of paper, which the printer misinterprets as a paper jam (because a
sensor tells the print processor that the sheet of paper is not present where is should be, and
therefore the printer microprocessor software issues a "PAPER JAM" error message).

The printer repair tech solution to this problem is to install a "roller kit," which entails the
replacement of every roller in the printer (since they all wear at about the same rate, replacing
just one is less effective than replacing them all).

Your quickie (temporary) solution - get the roller damp (this makes it grip a little better), then
load the paper tray to its maximum (pushing the paper into the paper pickup roller), then print a
couple precious pages while you order the roller kit online, and text your handy geek friend
who can change out all the rollers in your printer for a pizza.

Canon ip1600 jams paper when operated.why?.

You got a small shred of paper stuck in the paper track somewhere.

You could try feeding a sheet of light card or heavy gauge paper through which may clear it for you if that doesn't work you're going to have to get into it a check out all the rollers, right up to the edges, of the paper track. Don't forget to disconnect from the power source before you take any covers off.

I keep getting a paper jam message but there is no paper jam. any idea????

There may be a piece of paper still stuck in the unit. If a paper jams in a printer, you should assemble the torn sheet and make sure all the pieces came out.
Forcing a jammed sheet out of a printer can damage the paper detect arm. This arm is usually near the platen (The roller the head prints against) to detect the paper as it passes.

Canon iP 1600 printer won't print. Says that

Hi
If it keep saying paper jam Then it maybe just that you may not see any paper in it but it only takes a very small bit of paper that stopping it or I would take a closer look inside, you may have had a paper jam before and it has left a small nit inside. All Best: Pineworks

PAPER WON"T LOAD

The problem is software rather than mechanical operation. Uninstall the printer driver from the Add/Remove section of the Control Panel. Pull out the USB port and replace it back. This will prompt you pc to install the driver of the newly found hardware. Reinstall the printer driver. Should your printer be observed to have the usual problem, replace both cartridges with a one. "Loading paper" problem feedback is the same prompt as what you get when cartridges are old or refilled with unauthentic ink.

Paper won't load. and Stops printing before it can start.

Try turning the paper around. Some times the corners of the paper get slightly bent and the paper wont load.If turning the paper around does not work, switch your paper. Hope this helps.

Printer always prin at the to of the page and then it will parer jam but no paper is in it to jam up I have a canon bjc-4200 and I like the print that it dose

hi there,
This problem mostly caused by another material (such as broken paper, etc) present in paper path prevent paper to reach paper cam sensor. Check inside your printer and clear paper path from another material. You can also try to clean paper feed roller. If problem still persist, replace paper feed roller

Paper jam error message

I had the same problem, and found that the sheet feeder mechanism was intermittent. The problem seems to be that the lubricating grease inside the mechanism.(white nylon round thing with gears on it) becomes too slippery with age, and stops picking up the activating arm which allows the cam unit to move to kick the top sheet of paper into the rubber feed wheel.
The repair was extremely difficult because it involved taking most of the printer apart to get to the ink pump/sheet feeder mechanism.(white nylon round thing with gears on it). And then I tried quite a few lubricants (including no lubricant at all) but none of these worked reliably. Finally I tried a dab of automotive wheel bearing grease (it feels like glue), and this worked perfectly. I have had no more paper jam errors and no miss-feeds in about 7months of everyday use.

Printer feed

A lot of times its something jamming up the feed rollers that suck the paper in. I found a ring, rubber bands, banana stickers and more doing that to other printers
