Hello. The problem could well be that your oil tank is low on oil, or the cap on the oil tank is cruddy and needs to be cleaned or replaced. Check that out first and if it is low, have it filled. Also, there is a lockout reset button. To get to it, remove the appliance front cover and depress the lockout reset button on the burner.

My ideal logic combi 30+ is saying ignition lockout and my radiatiors arent heating up as well as my water not turning hot. How can i fix this please?

Lockout is a safety feature. Usually a latching condition and needs to be investigated rather than blindly reset. (The Combi has a bit more intelligence.) With the ignition locked out, you can't hi-fire the boiler, so no hot water of either type. The 'L' should also show a code number - check your user manual (google) for more guidance.

I've had a lockout on a non-combi: it was caused by lack of circulation of central heating water through the boiler.... The system boiled and the trip tripped. The pump WAS running, but wear in a valve actuator resulted in the valve feedback saying valve open while it was physically shut.

I have a riello burner 40 it will fire and come to temp but wont refire, goes into lockout

My first guess would be that it sounds like a clogged oil filter, air in your fuel line, is piping overhead, or leak in a fitting or connection causing it to loose it's prime when running.

I have also seen primary controls that are faulty do this, watching the complete cycle of the run time will give you more clues as to when the control actually locks out. Does it lock out during the run cycle as the boiler reaches temp.? If so,check for oil line and suction issues as stated above.

If it locks out on start up after reaching boiler set temperature, if hitting reset right away burner doesn't start and lock out occurs with no motor engaging, check motor (Note: Some motors when HOT will not kick in when powered, but after they cool down naturally they start, motor shaft may also be bound up tight, replacement is necessary) if burner motor spins but does not fire, check for fuel flow to the nozzle, be sure oil is pumping to the nozzle, if it is, clean cad cell eye, and check transformer for spark, if all is good.. replace primary control.

Of course all this information is technical troubleshooting information and should be performed by a Licensed Technician, not knowing how to properly test for flame failure can cause injury, fire or worse! Consult a technician in your area if you are not proficient at oil burner repair!

I have a John wood GSW water heater, JW317RF that will not come out of "lockout mode". I have reset the water heater numerous times and it will seem like its going to run but never ignites. I have bled it...

id say the draft u feel is normal (if it wasn't fumes wouldn't exit the home) lock outs usually occur when there is a fault to exist in the burner circuit (detected) like the flame proving sensor being defective(very common) or no draft fan running , you ill need to do a little more looking to determine what is needed

I have a Heatslave 12/14 oil-fired combi boiler installed approx 8 years ago. A problem has just developed on the domestic hot water side. My local heating engineer has investigated but so far hasn't...

Symptoms sound like crossover might be part of problem:
Crossover is when cold water enters hot water line due to faulty plumbing part like check valve, mixing valve, or bad faucet cartridge.
