Question about PfaFF Creative 7570

Threads caught in the take up lever wheel

I am using rayon thread on my quilting project. The pfaff 7570 came to a halt with a grinding sound. I had the machine serviced 2 months ago so everything was working very well. With close inspection I could see thread had wound around a wheel below the the take up lever. Much to my dismay I have tried to get thin crocet hook to get it unwound the thread comes out a little at a time. The machine works now but there is still thread wound around there. Is there any way to open the left side of machine to get into the threading area? That should do it. Pfaff is not like some machines that you are able to open this area. I hate to spend another $$$$ to have this looked at just to remove the threads Appreciate it Nettie

Thanks so much. Got the side off was able to get some thread out but there is some caught tighter around the white wheel that is attached to the take up lever. I see two screws on the top of the machine where the thread goes and area where the machine is threaded. Is it possible to take these screws off and lift the shelf to see inside and possibly get the remaining thread out. The machine works ok now so maybe the thread will work its way out as I use it. I guess the problem started because the thread popped off the take up lever and worked its way around the wheel. Thanks again Nettie

Looking at the top left side you should see a hole large enough for a screwdriver and through that hole there is a screw. Loosen the screw and the left side cover should come off.

Pfaff 7570 - Had a problem with bunching threads, removed the knots and now the needle arm is jammed and won't go up and down. Any suggestions to remedy this problem?

It is quite possible that there are still some stray threads stuck or wrapped somewhere in the machine that are preventing the machine from operating properly. If unable to locate what is holding the machine, service may be required.

Loops of thread on top of quilt when doing stippling embroidery

Could be caused by any number of things, but I would make sure your threads - upper and bobbin - are threaded correctly. Most importantly, use the free motion (darning) foot and even more important - be sure to put the presser foot lever down, but not all the way - it should rest on the little "shelf" so that it is hovering above your work. If you push it a little towards the rear of the machine while you are lowering it, it will find the shelf. And drop your feed dogs. You need to open the bobbin cover to locate the sliding lever to do this.

When quilting my quilt the bobbin thread is heavy and messy on

This should be an easy fix, something is wrong with the upper threading. Take the thread off the machine, raise the presser foot up and rethread the machine, that should take care of it.

Thread breaks

If the thread is feeding from the spool without hanging up, the problem is within the threading system.

If this machine auto-threads, try to manual threading.

Call your dealer and tell them what is happening and you need their assistance. The machine may have to be serviced. Take a sample of the problem with you.

My quilt expression 4.0 requires rethreading a lot. It'll stitch along just find, and then "clunk! clunk!" and the thread underneath gets jumbled up (which I've been told is a problem not with the bobbin...

Sounds to me like a tiny bit of thread may be caught in the bobbin assembly. I have a couple of machines that will come to a screeching halt when this happens!!

What you'll need to do is take your bobbin assembly apart and brush out off the lint and thread you can find, then use a bright light and magnifying glass to look for any bits that might still be in there.

Good luck and I sure hope this fixes your problem! Let me know, ok?

I cant set the tension on my PFAFF 7570 the thread keeps

First make sure your needle is in correctly. Then make sure you are threading the machine correctly especially make sure you thread the take-up lever. Make sure your tension dial is at a 4 to 5. if this does not work, let me know

Jamed Pfaff CD 7570:

Your machine probably has a thread lock which is a piece of thread caught in the hook. If this is the problem then here is the solution.
Grasp the hand wheel and turn it back and forth, increasing the amount of force used each time. It should break free after about 4-6 tries

PLEASE HELP!!! Pfaff creative 7570 tension problems

Check your bobbin tension also. Embroidery bobbin thread is finer than sewing thread and you may need to make adjustment on the bobbing case by turning the small screw slightly. The type of stabilizer can affect your embroidery. An excellent reference for machine embroidery is Embroidery Machine Essentials by Jeanine Twigg, available on Amazon.
