Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
Your dogs (part #80040) are worn out. Those ridges wear smooth with age. That causes them to skip or slip. The clothes don't get washed correctly Remove the agitator and sit it on the floor. Hold down the base with your feet and yank the upper portion off. Replace them dogs and party on. I have prepared a video and service manual here:

This is usually the agitator dogs have worn out or broke. These are very inexpensive and easy to replace. Here is a video this will walk you thru checking and replacing the agitator dogs . You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.
