Question about York Furnace Draft Inducer Blower Fasco # A224

Open Question

My York Diamond Ultra 95 blew the circuit when it turned on. Reset the breaker & adjusted the T-stat so it would turn back on. It did & will not shut down automatically. It also sounds like not all the blowers are on. Any suggestions?

Fuses will blow if there is an overload.
Breakers only trip if there is a short to ground.
Since you replaced the fuse and it blew and tripped the breaker , I would check for a wire problem. Also check the elements that rodents haven't built nests ect...

WHERE IS THE CHARGING SYSTEM FUSE ON A 2005 ULTRA CLASSIC

there is a circuit breaker in front of the rear wheel behind the plastic inner guard, it is a 30 amp circuit breaker which will cut the circuit to protect the charging system if there is an electrical fault and then automatically reset after a short time but will trip again if the electrical fault has not been repaired, that is the only fuse/circuit breaker that I know of for the charging system

How do u reset a cutler hammer arc fault breaker if nothing happens after u press the reset switch and flip the breaker on

if the breaker wont resest it seems you had to many amps running through and it blew out,Or there is a loose wire that is setting the breaker off go through where it is hooked up and make sure all the wires are tight, if they are your cuttler just blew out, good luck

What does it mean when riding an ultra classic motorcycle when it gets hot going down the road it shuts off

Sounds like a main circuit breaker problem. There was a service bulletin for a breaker upgrade.

Harley-Davidson Service Bulletin M-1151: Main Circuit Breaker Replacement~Purpose: As recently advised in ML-390, Harley-Davidson has determined that a defect exists on certain 2001-2003 FL Touring and Police model motorcycles. These motorcycles have a condition whereby the 40 amp main circuit breaker could open due to reasons other than for which it was designed, causing an unexpected interruption of all electrical power. This condition could cause a “quit while riding” situation, which could occur without warning and lead to a crash, thereby presenting a risk of death or injury to the rider.

This Harley-Davidson safety recal (code 0113) affected to the following motorcycle: Certain 2001-2003 FL Touring and Police model motorcycles, including FLHTCI, FLHTCUI, FLTRI, FLTRSEI-2, FLHPI, FLHPEI and FLHTPI, assembled/shipped from the York, Pennsylvania assembly plant between May, 2000 and September, 2003.

Test procedure for elements and thermostat

Remove upper and lower access panels
in upper access, use voltage tester to test voltage of on the uppermost terminals above the red reset button. should be ~220V between terminals (110 to ground)
If not: breaker off or bad,
If 220V proceed:
Test the two terminals immediately below this reset button should be 220V
If not: reset tripped or bad
If 220V present, proceed.
Turn off breaker to heater.

Use ohm meter or continuity tester.
test resistance across upper element terminals -should be 10 to15 ohms
check between each terminal and ground -should be open circuit .
If not replace element
Repeat for lower element.

test across lower element thermostat should be no resistance when stat turned up so it clicks on.
(To test that lower stat turns off, allow tank to heat up completely before conducting this test) Turn sta temp down so it clicks off then test across stat terminals -should be open circuit

The upper thermostat is a 3 way switch
The simplest way to test it is to turn the power back on turn the upper stat all the way up so it clicks on and use voltage tester across the UPPER element terminals, should be ~220V
Now turn the upper stat down so it clicks off- check upper element should be 0 V between upper element terminals -(Caution ! terminals will still be live 110V to ground)
The upper stat has now sent power to lower stat.
Turn lower stat up so it clicks on, check Voltage across lower element -should be ~220V turn lower stat down so clicks off, should be 0 V across lower element terminals.

NOTE If tank is completely cold the upper stat will not switch off and wont send power to lower stat.
If lower tank is cold lower stat may not click off even when turned down.
normal stat setting is 125 to 130
The hotter you you set the stat, the faster your tank corrodes.

I have a 1990 hd ultr clasic tour glide. when i use my turn signals my instrument lights and gauges flash. all grounds have been cleaned and look good.

Your turn signals are controlled by the turn signal cancelling unit and the only thing it has to do with the lights and gauges is the power source. Check your "lights" circuit breaker. It sounds like you may have a short circuit somewhere causing the circuit breaker to break and then reset, only to break again. This happening over and over will appear to be a turn signal flashing. Find the circuit breakers, usually under the seat, and listen when you turn the turn signals on. See if you can hear the circuit breaker "clicking". Good Luck!

Bulb blew on cooker hood and I replaced both. Light still won't work and neither will fan - both working fine until bulb blew.

hello. I can assist you. begin by going to the electrical panel for your home. You will be looking for the circuit breaker or fuse that controls this hood. Chances are the actual problem is that the fuse blew, or the circuit breaker kicked off. To reset, replace the fuse with a new one of the same amperage, or turn the breaker on and then off and then back on again.

I stop getting power or sound to my sub

Double check your fuses. It sounds like you blew a fuse. Check the fuse for the radio aswell as the inline fuse for you amp. On some amplifiers there is a circuit breaker reset button. Check to see if your amp is equiped for that. I did find this quote for reset out of the owners manual.
Remote Turn-on
Automatically turns amplifier on when connected to the head unit's remote output. The
amplifier will turn on and off with the head unit to save current consumption. This control
also operates the reset circuit for the amplifier's protection. It must be connected with
the head unit in order to reset protection circuits.
