1. check the capacity of the hard drive
a. go to "my computer/or in the case of Windows 7 "computer under the Windows
Orb.
b. highlight the drive then right click to see the drive capacity unused space will be in the
pink area,
c. clear your browser temp folder, history, and cookies
d. remove unwanted programs from the startup menu>> For Windows 7
1. click the Windows Orb then to >> all programs >>>select "start up folder" right click on
the program you want not to be in the start and delete it.
The same procedure for Windows XP except it will be under the "start button"
2. Remove any items that you don't use in the task bar
3. uninstall any programs and or documents that you don't use
4. update you anti-virus software
- 5. defrag your hard drive >>>check help guide located under the Orb in Windows 7 and type in "defragmentation
