Question about Kenmore Sewing Machines
Take it to Sears sewing department and maybe the salesman can help you determine what the answer is for free. Other than that unless I could see it, I don't know the answer for sure. I can guess and say it is in your threading or your needle is not inserted properly (could have a piece of thread or cloth up in the shaft that holds the needle) and the flat side is facing the rear of the machine.
