Question about Health & Beauty
The easiest test to see if you have a bad key switch is to bypass the switch. If the scooter works when you bypass (short across) the switch then you have a bad key switch. The hard part of accomplishing this is to take apart the console and housing of the key switch. Without knowing your model the basic answer is to look at the console housing and look for the screws holding the 2 halves of it together. Remove these screws noting where they go so you can reassemble the console. Once you have the switch exposed on the backside of it you can locate the 2 wires going into the switch. Find the part of these 2 wires which is bare (no insulation) either at the nearest connector or at the switch. Using a paper clip short across these 2 wires, i.e. use the paper clip to connect these 2 points together. If your scooter now works you have a bad key switch.
