Question about LG 37LG50 37 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

The remote has never worked properly from the day we bought it. It seemed to eat up batteries a lot lot faster than it should have (every couple of days!!) It is slow to respond and some buttons don't function and some do things they shouldn't. e.g. If i press the button for TEXT the information comes up etc. I just want to know where i can buy a replacement. Thank you

Try to check the key pad first if their is a normally close button or already press button then try to pull that button slightly to loose the contact. It might help.

LG Magic. Why does it drain batteries?

If what I am seeing is correct, the LG Magic remote is a remote with a lot more features, and a lot more power demanding features than a regular remote control.

I recently bought a new 23" LED TV after a few days the remote control doesn't seem to work all of the sudden, i already replaced with a new AAA battery but still no luck.. what could be...

the first problem that comes to my mind is, the remote was accidentally poured with water or coffee and the result is shorted parts inside. solution: place the remote at the back of your refrigerator or in a warm place for a couple of days then try to use it again

The batteries run out and the camera shuts off... NEW batteries... Why is this camera EATING batteries??

Check your settings to see if you have a lot of alert sounds turned on. If every shutter move, power up, power-down, emptying the trash etc has a sound alerting you to what you are doing, it could eat up batteries faster. Turn all that sound stuff off. Its annoying to hear a sound FX shutter click anyway.

Try cleaning the contacts that connect to the batteries. A pencil eraser will clean the contacts.

Do not use alkaline batteries. Buy NiMH rechargables and keep a couple of sets on hand fully charges. ViviCam's eat alkalines alive!
