It will help diagnose problem if you provide the model no. of the Onkyo receiver.

Normally the settings are stored in a flash memory device (EEPROM). It is possible this is failing.

Have you recently updated the firmware of the unit? If you know how to run to reset the receiver then try it and see if holds the settings after that.

What could be a reason for "no item" while trying to listen VTUNER on my TX-NR616 Onkyo receiver?

Hello, Vtuner is going through changes in terms of the stations that they cover. Are you getting "no item" for all stations or is it just some of them? I would test by trying to go to a local station that you know works to see if this is happening across all stations. Thanks, FJD

Hello
Get into this site. Youcan download the user manual for your Onkyo receiver for absolutely free. If you feel any difficulty in downloading the same; just cntact me at [email protected] or [email protected]. I've the downlaoded manual with me, and I can send it to you by return mail. I don't know whether the newly hoisted Fixya site will allow you to contact me by its comment box. That is why I gave you my mail addresses. Hello, the most used buttons can wear out over time. On/standby and volume are the ones that are used most often. I suggest purchasing a new remote. It is available at shoponkyo.com. Thank you, Onkyo USA

My TX-SR702 receiver often displays a 'Dialog

Need to know your source and exactly how that source is connected to the receiver. Also need to know what surround sound mode you are using and whether the program material that drops out is compatible with that decoding format. Might be as simple as changing surround modes when this happens, but you should know that many cable boxes and some disc players routinely drop their digital audio signals from time to time and can give you these symptoms. Best remedy is to call Onkyo tech support with all of your information requested above documented in one place. They can help you troubleshoot while you are in front of your receiver.

Mitsubishi HDMI connection trouble

I have the same issue with my 73". Rather then going over all of my connections and equipment I'll just say htat I feel your frustration. I have been on the phone with Mitsubishi directly and it appears as though they have a free software upgrade that should address this problem. If you call 1-800-332-2119 and press 4 in the menu you will get someone to help you. Be patient. They will make you go through all of the fixes that you have already tried. They will mail you a flash drive that goes right into the front USB port of your TV. I hope this is of help. Good luck.

Onkyo TX-SR605 conected to Mitsubishi DLP TV

What I think I did and how I fixed it!

FACTORY RESET ON EVERYTHING!

All you have to do is to do a factory reset on everything, but I thing mostly on your 605, but I would do it on the TV as well. I think what had happened is after I set everything up for the first time, it worked great. As the days when on I started to play with all of the futures the 605 and the TV had to offer. I was turning them on and off to see what everything did. What I think I did was, I turned on something in the 605 that the TV did not know how to cope with. If I had to guess, I think it is the Lip-sink feature (Spelling?) in the 605.

Anyway disconnect everything, look in your manuals of the TV and the 605 to see how to do the factory reset on both. Then turn your TV on. After it does it’s start up for the first time (again), start connecting the 605.

It has been working great for me after I did this. Do not count on help from the people you bought it from or the people who made it. This stuff is so new they do not really know how to fix it.
