My internet keeps disconnection everytime i disconnect from my modum. my internet service said that it haver something to do with the acer and i need to down something to upgrade the system. could you tell me what that is and how i can do that

Assuming U are dailup, it only works when Ur dialed up. If U R broadband, it only works when U R connected to the modem.

It sounds like the browser is not compatible with your console. This will be confirmed if you get a message talking about it's "Certificate is not valid"

We had a power outage in our area. When the power


try to reset your modum ,repeart the process 192.168.1.1, go to advance setting , choose pop seting just clicck next and continue it will reach at a page where it shall ask you ,your user name and pass word , enter click next save it , close the page ror two minute and start your browsing if still it prolunges plz restart your modum, if yet not connected , re do the process, if again failure you need to check the signal and if low plz contact the service tech of you service provider and launch a complain ,its conjuction probelum,, most of setting i said is based on BSNL and Airtel broadband and wifi only.

Conecting acer notebook


what do you mean by hook it up? Do you mean internet service?
All new laptops have Wi-Fi capabilities, but you must be in range of a free service. In order to get dedicated service, you will need to either purchase an aircard from a provider such as sprint,verizon,AT&T, or get hooked up through your local phone company(DSL), or cable service- they will provide you with the modem.

my daughter just right clicks the icon on the task bar and exits the program on her acer, she still accesses the internet, this kept getting on nerves too with the bubble popping up saying connected, disconnected, just right click it and exit it, and it should solve your problem.

Call your isp and schedule a service call. There could be something wrong at the telephone pole or your drop to the house could be faulty, or your modem could be bad.

Do you have "What do you suggest I do to stop the alternating messages? It's almost as annoying as popups." I get an alternating popup (actually fade in fade out) message. the alternating message says "Acer eNet Management Internet Disconnected" Here is my solution!!! :)

First 'Right-click on task bar', TASK BAR IS AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SCREEN' then click on 'Properties'. Click on 'Notification Area', Click on 'Customize', Look for WLAN(disconnected), Click on it and choose 'HIDE', Click 'OK', then click 'APPLY', then click 'OK' and now you have no more annoying message. TOO EASY MATE ;)

Disconnection of Internet


How are you connected to the internet? Is it perhaps a DSL that needs to have the PPPoE login credentials sent occasionally?
Dig into the config pages for your router and find the option for keeping the connection alive or active, that option should be near the login options for your PPPoE account. 
Also consider having the router perform the login rather then your computer or the DSL itself, as most routers are better at handling the login procedure then PC's or modems.
