My maytag m6x06f2a-f window AC wont stop beeping

My window AC wont stop beeping when on. It beeps and says 00 where the digital display is randomly in 5 to 10 second intervals. It is driving me crazy! Any ideas? I think that maybe the timer is screwed up.

My unit has the same problem and is a slightly different model:
    M7X05F2A-B.
The beeping is driving me a bit nuts.

Beeps on and off like crazy. Turns on and off. It's useless!!!!

After unplugging, waiting 3 minutes, and plugging back in several times it seems to have a few issues that make me wonder if the controller unit is bad.

    • It sometimes displays an EE error (this is when it shuts off right after being turned on).

    • Sometimes it will display a random number, without beeping, in the left digit but the fan continues to run.

    • Sometimes when switched on, the dispaly goes funky and cycles through a bunch of characters too fast to read, then it plays a continuous beep.

    • Other times when plugged back in, it just plays a constant beep

We had the same problem and changed the setting to auto and the unit seems to be working properly now. Not sure if this solves the problem, but for the past 1/2 hour the unit has stopped jumping between 00 and the temp we set.

Maytag m6x06f2a like new but doest blow cold air

Make sure the Thermostat is set correctly! The problem with mine was the temp in the house was colder than my A/C lowest thermostat setting.I had my AC temp setting on 66 degrees. The temp in the house was a little lower so the AC didnt kick on just the fan blowing cool air and no compressor working. The next day it was warmer out and the house temp was 79. So when I powered up the AC set at 66 i heard the compressor kick in and the AC worked fine.

Timer for Maytag 8000 btu digital window air conditioner If i put my ac on a timer (it doesent have a built in one) it wont turn on unless i press the on button. Is there anything I can do to get it to...

Not much you can do with it being a digital control ,power needs to stay on all the time. There are ways around it but it is a chore re wiring to make it work.

What is the amps for a Maytag window air conditioner model#M6X06F2A

The label on the AC should tell you the ratings in Watts. Divide the watts by voltage to derive amps. Hence 7400 watts @ 240vac would be 30.8amps

A quick search on the internet shows that your unit pulls 618 watts while cooling and is designed for 115vac. So @110vac that is 5.6amps and @120vac that is 5.1amps... See why voltage is important?

Dryer randomly beeps, like morse code and changes ...

sounds like a stuck or shorted membrane switch.
which would require replacing the console. if you can access the tech guide in the control panel you can do a membrane switch test and other diagnostics.

Sounds like the cancel (or stop) button is making contact by itself. Clock (oven control board) may need replacement.
One option to buy it new, your part number is 12001661
Coupon "New10" chops 10% off.
Another is to send the clock to be rebuilt. Google "stove timer rebuild", you'll find plenty of companies which can repair your original clock. In case you need it, the original part number is 74004542.
To get to the clock, remove the back of the control panel. Good luck.

Random beeps, oven almost starts itself

The touch pad may be defective. There is a membrane behind the buttons that will cause problems like that. The only cure is to replace the touch assy.
