Hi--The only repair I know is to get alcohol(91%). Dose q-tip and clean lazer. Then use other end and clean(lightly). Wait 10 minutes and try. If it dosn't work after two times it probably will not work. The headphones and remote will not make any difference.

Latch clips (plastic) are broken is there a repair for this--other than another dvd player?

there is no repair, either replace the parts if avail or replace the deck, it is all a matter of cost and parts availability.

Help with venturer pvs6100w

i had the same problem. there is a switch that gets pushed down and there is something sticking on the back of the screen. i put layers of tape on it to build it up to push it down further to fix it. can also try to stick something where the switch is but you will need to turn it off to switch discs. if you really know what you are doing you can try and take it apart and try and fix it right.

According to Venturers website, they do not offer battery packs or anything like that.
Also i don't think there are compatible third party battery packs available...

Wireless headphones

If you're handy, you could rig up a wireless solution to this. The problem is that you have two screens, each presumably playing a different movie. If you purchased an off-the-shelf wireless transmitter accessory, you could connect it to one of the screens. But then if you purchased a second wireless transmitter accessory, and connected it to another screen, you would need to make sure both wireless transmitters were operating on different frequencies, so that each person could wear a different pair of headphones and listen to their own movie. Hopefully this makes sense. You could use either an FM Modulator to do this, or an Infrared Audio (IR) transmitter... Remember, these units aren't like factory installed headrest systems; they don't have the wireless audio transmitter already built-in, so you can't just buy wireless headphones and listen to them.
