Breaker size:
15 amp breaker connects to 14 gauge wire
20 amp breaker connects to 12 gauge wire
30 amp breaker connects to 10 gauge wire
Home Depot and Lowes have a breaker and wire size size chart next to wire cutting machine
These stores have guys who know the basic breaker size for your big appliances
Each appliance has a name plate showing wattage and voltage.
The wattage tells you what size wire.
The voltage tells you what size breaker and whether you need a 120V breaker or 240V breaker.

To lay out your home wiring:
The kitchen microwave needs a 20Amp 120V 'dedicated' line that goes just to the microwave.
The rest of the kitchen plugs are served by another 20 amp 120V breaker
When laying out rest of house, figure how much wattage might be used in an area.
For example the den might have a big 500Watt TV, and 2 ceiling fans and 4 lights.
Add up the wattage and decide how many plugs and switches you want on each breaker.
Now let's say you have a 20Amp breaker which can carry 1920 Watts for the den.
Inside the breaker box you have a 12 gauge wire for the 20 Amp breaker.
The 12 gauge wire has a black, white and bare ground.
The black connects to breaker. The white and ground connect to Neutral busbar.
The 12 gauge wire leaves the breaker box and goes to the first box in the den.
This box is your junction box.
The junction box can be a switch box or a ceiling light box.
You cannot have any junction boxes that are covered by drywall.
Junction boxes must be accessible. All boxes must be accessible.
For example, you choose a ceiling box for your junction box.
The junction box is also the same box your ceiling light connect to.
From your junction box, you branch off a wire that goes to next box.
And then a wire branches off next box and goes to next box. And so on.

2004 stratus windows won't go up. Tried replacing master switch, fuses but still won't make a sound to roll up the window. was told maybe bad ground but i hhave no clue where to start with that. Help...

Each window has its own motor and they are located inside the door so remove the inside door panel and then you should be able to check all wiring to the motors check with a test light to confirm power to motor if power is there continue to check the ground wire for proper connection! If all else fails you could always Google :)

How do you hook up a toggel switch?

are you planning on just trying to control 1 load, in a car? If so the switch simply will go in line with one of the wires. A single trow single pole means on & of for 1 wire In this case the Positive lead will get the switch. You will just have to cut the positive wires near where the switch is needed and connect each end to the switch. It may also be a 3 position single throw single pole (if it has 3 legs) then use one end leg and one connected to the center leg meaning it will be an on, off, on. This will cut the flow of voltage to the load on the positive wire the same as the 2 leg switch. If it's in you house with AC voltage it's advisable to use a switch that will cut voltage to both wires since AC will still shock you with only 1 wire. It remains live. That type of switch is referred to as a single throw double pole. Meaning on and off but has 4 legs coming off of it cutting voltage to both wires.

What gauge wire do I need to lead into the BR816L125R load center? it is going to the feed through lugs off my 200 amp service breaker.

Hi .. If the load center is next to the main panel you can use #2 copper or #1aught aluminum. You need to use 4 wires .. two hot, neutral, and ground. And in your load center you will need a 125amp main breaker and you will need to keep the neutral bus separate from the box, do not use the bonding screw. You will then need to install a ground bar to the back of the box for the ground wires connection.
any thoughts, questions.?

No cable picture

If you have the round black cable (72ohm) There is a center wire, sometime when this connector is screwed on the center wire gets bent and does not go into the center connection of the receiver. This will give you a no signal situation. Check cable wire to see that the center wire is straight.
