Normal 0 The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty.
First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If this does not work then reboot and go to the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Next - to determine if the hard drive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port. If this computer cannot see it as an external hard drive and you cannot open the various folders and files, this confirms the hard drive is faulty.
The hard drive needs to be replaces in the laptop and Windows installed and the laptop's device drivers and your programs etc to get a functioning laptop again.

You can disable the LAN from the boot up by going into the BIOS configuration by disabling the LAN or remove it from the boot up sequence.

You can also disable any devices in Device Manager. Click on Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager , Then go to the device and right click on that device and click Disable.

This means that your computer could not boot to your hard drive and is trying to boot to another device. Go to your BIOS settings and on the boot options, make sure that your hard disk is on the top of the list. Also, remove the "other devices" out of the boot sequence.

Further, check if boot from LAN is enabled (this should be disabled). PXE will enable you to boot from a network drive or server, which you dont need, I suppose.

If the above suggestions was already done and still could not boot to windows, then it failed to read your harddisk, thus, could not find the OS of your computer. You needed a new hard disk if this is the case.

Please let me know how this assistance help you. Thank you for using FixYa.

Upon starting your computer continuously press F2 or the Del button to go to your BIOS settings. Once in there, go to Boot menu and make sure your harddisk is on priority among the list. Try to see if "Other Devices" is listed there. Then go to the other menu aside from Boot, and Boot from Lan option, if it is enabled, then highlight it to select and then press spacebar to make it disabled.

Wile I am trying to boot it up it goes in to a loop

Hello.

That error message usually refers to a hard disk failure. Your hard disk cable could be loose or faulty. Or, your hard drive would need to be replaced.

I'd suggest to check the cable and run your system's hardware diagnostics (often F2 or F12) when your system boots.

Hope this helps.

sounds like hard disk faliure, suggest getting a new hard disk or perhaps attempt a system reinstall. Its not the fan but the hard disk.

The BIOS, which handles the initial start up of your computer, cannot find your hard drive and thus cannot boot your operating system (ie, Windows). Open up your computer and confirm the power cable is firmly connected to the hard drive and that the cable that connects the hard drive to the motherboard is firmly secure. If both of these check out, then try downloading this bootable CD on another computer. This CD, among other things, has a few hard drive utilities that will help further diagnose the problem. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ Finally, if the utilities on this CD are unable to see the hard drive itself, then is may need to be replaced. Try testing with another hard drive or another cable to connect it to the motherboard.
