Question about Acer Extensa 4620 Notebook

1 Answer

When I key the product key from the bottom of my computer it tells its incorrect. This is very disappointing as I cant work on my computer. I m planning to go back to the shop to get back my money. This is ridiculous. I wanted to buy another one for my son but I have decided not to do so because your product is demotivating and not user friendly when it comes to your key product issue

My laptop keeps asking me for my product key. I entered the 25 digit one, from the bottom of laptop, but it tells me the nunber is incorrect. What should I do?

THe key at the base of your laptop is the Windows OS key. If it doesn't work, the OS has been replaced.
It won't work for Office!

Hi, I've been logging onto microsoft office word and now it's telling me to put a product key number in. I put the product key number in from the bottom of the laptop but it's telling me it's incorrect....

Dear Kisoccergirl, the number on the bottom of your laptop isn't a valid Word product key. If your software is Microsoft genuine you can get the serial key from the software cd case or from the product manual.
Please ask if you need more help. Regards, Peter

You should try to install your Office 2007 to another computer to be able to see if your computer has the problem or it just the product key.

Microsoft office 2007 Home Student program tells me that the microsoft product key on the label on the bottom of my brand new acer aspire one is incorrect. What do I do now?

Are you sure you're not entering the key from Windows? That sticker would be on the bottom.
Typically, the product key for MS Office is on a separate card in the documentation that came with your computer. If that's not the case, call the store you bought the computer from or call Acer Customer Service for assistance and don't give up until you get it resolved. Microsoft may also be a good resource.

Compaq evo 610 asks for product key on start up to activate windows and then tells me its incorrect

The product key for the Windows installation is printed on the label on the bottom of the Compaq. The product key will only work on the version of Windows that is printed on the label otherwise you will get an incorrect Product key error message.
Make sure the Windows installation CD matches the Windows version that is printed on the label on the bottom of the Compaq.

Ok I cant seem to find the product key on the laptop or online

Hello Kris -

The product key you're looking at on the bottom of the computer is most likely for Windows itself, not PowerPoint. Some new computers come with only trial versions of Microsoft Office (of which PowerPoint is part of). First, ensure that you have in fact paid for Microsoft Office. If so, your computer will have come with a seperate set of CDs for Microsoft Office (or just PowerPoint if you did not purchase the complete office suite). There will be a product key on the back of the CD set which should work just fine.

Please let me know if you need further info!
