Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Open the dryer door and remove the four screws located vertically along the inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to the front shroud assembly.

Once the four screws are removed, grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt the top of the front panel and move it away from the dryer.

I cant figure out how to change the light bulb on my Bosch WTL 5410 Condensation dryer. The bulb cover is at 12:00 inside the front cover (hard to crane your head around to see up there). I can't feel or...

You need to go through the top panel with the switches to access the bulb. First remove the screws that hold the top to the dryer. (There are a series of tabs with the screws.) Next, use a flat blade screw driver to push down and pull out the plastic tabs along top of the front panel. Pull the top of the front panel back. Now look for some plastic tubes. Stick a screw driver down into the machine and pry the tubes up at the bottom. Then you can access the light bulb and its socket.

I hope this helps.

How do I put the belt on?

You must get the front panel off to install the belt on all American dryers. Some have small access panels to fit the Idler. Most dryers you start by either raising the top or removing the top first. Then you can get the front panel off. Then you can remove the drum and clean er up. Lots of videos showing belt replacement are on you tube.

Air not venting from dryer, how do you untop inside vent tubing?

You can access the exhaust tube from the back of the dryer. This hose should un-do with either a hose clamp or a spring clip/clamp. I would vacuum this out with a shop vac.
If you aren't able to clear enough from this method, you should be able to disassemble the front of the dryer (perhaps lifting the top section by undoing two clips under the lid and removing the from panel?) and vacuum out the rest of the lint trap.

Maytag 5500 igniter heats up only some times

Easy fix. Replace the solenoid coils. They get intermittent with age.
To access the innards you remove the door. after the door is removed you can then pp off the goalpost shaped front and reveal the hooks that hold the top down. Once you have the top up you van remove the glide panel and drum. Once the drum is out you can clean the dryer. check the blower wheel for looseness (common) and replace the solenoids. Kenmore 41784082500

To access the heater on this one you must remove the drum. To do so you pop the top. Then you remove the front. Then you release the idler after removing the rear access panel. Lift out the drum and inspect the heater for breaks. My home video:

Clogged drain tube on Bosch Axxis condensing dryer

just after having the same problem on my Bosch condenser dryer, remove the top cover by removing the two screws on the rear panel, slide the top cover aft to remove it. when the cover is lifted clear you will see where the drain hose to the collection container is installed, look at the aft l/h corner, you will see a black hose comming up through the corner which attaches to a white plastic end piece which is clipped to the frame of the dryer. Release the clip which hold the white end piece, pull the end piece from the hose, there's a good chance that the end piece is block with fluff etc, blow through from the opposite to clear any blockage, blow through the hose to make sure that its not blocked also. Hopefully this will cure your problem , rebuild in reverse order ----- Hope this helps

HOW DO I REPLACE THE FREON IN MY KENMORE REFRIGERATOR ?

First , install a clamp on access valve on the compressor assecc tube . This is usually the 3/8 " , short tube , mounted on the compressor . Next , connect a refrigerant reclaimer with hose to the clamp on . Open the clamp-on and turn on the reclaimer . After all the refrigerant possible is out of the system , remove the clamp-on and hose . Using a torch , remove the 3/8 " tube and install a new longer tube , with silver solder . In the end of the tube , braze a new access valve . Next , cut the dryer off with a tubing cutter , and using a file , cut the cap tube from the other end of the dryer . Install a new dryer , and re-install the cap tube . (Replace this dryer with one which has an access valve already installed ) . Now , you are ready for the evacuation and recharge . Reply back , when your ready to procede .

We are moving the dryer and need to open the side vent and plug the back vent. how do we do this?

Unplug the cord of the dryer before starting.

Raise top by placing a putty knife between top and front in the seam between the two about 2 inches in from each edge and lifting up at the same time. Raise top to full open position.

Look down inside the open top dryer at each side there will be a screw on each side a few inches down. Leaning against the front remove the two screw and pull the top forward a few inches and raise it from the supports at bottom then swing it aside protecting any wiring.

This will give you access to the underside of the dryer at which point you can remove the vent tube going out the back. Remove the side knockout by hitting the edges of the cutout with a screwdriver until it breaks free. Run a new line from the fan outlet through the new penetration. This tube can be rigid or flexible but must be non-flammable material.

The rear hole does not need to be plugged unless you have pets, mice or children that might get inside. It can be closed with aluminum tape if desired. Give your dryer a thorough cleaning with a vacuum while apart.

Reverse the disassembly process to reassemble the front and top being careful not to disconnect any wiring.
