Hmmm... try booting the computer in safe mode with networking, because you'll need the net, if you can get windows to stay up try using Eusing free registry cleaner (you can download it off the net) to repair the registry, then try clicking start then run and type chkdsk /f (this will check your hardrive for corruption and repair it if necessary) then press enter, It will say "error disk cannot be locked because it is being used by another program, would you like to run this next time you restart the computer?" press Y then enter. then restart your computer and see if that worked. Hope this helps, Daniel

This is happening when windows BOOT sector is damaged..and you need to either reinstall the operation system ..or use the recovery partition or cd to do that ...
If you have a windows Boot-able cd ..just insert ..choose repair ...and when it asks for command choose 1 for the first 0drive /C:/windows..and the command is FIXBOOT ..after that type exit ..and yes..and will do ...if you find it hard to work with it in DOS..just reinstall it ..and will be fine..

I have a dell Inspirion 530. When I turn on my computer this black screen comes up.At the top says windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix the problem. 1....

I think the system files of windows might be affected. Looking at the support.dell.com website it's eigther you have windows vista or windows XP as your operating system

what you can do is Startup Repair, System Restore

1. To do this you have to boot your computer to the Windows Vista disk
.At the bottom says "Windows is loading files...."The Windows Setup environment will continue to load

2. At this screen you should configure the Language to install, Time and currency format, and Keyboard or input method options so that they are set correctly. When done, press the Next button. You will now be at the main Windows Vista setup screen where you would normally install Vista on to a computer.

3. Click Repair your Computer and keep on hitting next until you get the menuroadfox_18.jpg
4. Choose Starup Repair First Keep on hittng next until computer restarts.

5. If it fails repeat steps 1 to 4 and choose System Restore

6. System restore will prompt you choose a date. I suggest to choose a date within a week when the computer's setting is up and running

Hope This helps

Changing print properties shuts down all open programs instantly!

I would first of all Go to the Xerox.com site and go to Drivers and downloads for the M20i and install the newest firmware. I believe the current version is 3.4.
I believe your problem would be resolved in loading the newest machine firmware.

Dell Vostro 1500 won't boot after downloading updates

What programs are installed on the machine? there may be a file that's conflicting with one of the updates. You may leave automatic updates turned off. Looking for the culprit will require and will be easier if a tech will check the computer onsite or thru remote access.

Wont turn on properly

Hi,
Press the F8 key about 7 times slowly when you see the DELL logo screen after the restart.
Select the option Repair my computer.
The start up and repair window would come up follow the wizard . It should fix the issue .
If it does not , it would give you more options to try repair the system. Try system restore from the options.
If none of the above steps work , it time to reset your computer to factory settings. A corrupt vedio driver update, is the cause of this problem

Thanks
Mandeep
