You confirmed my thoughts...but was unsure on the cost of repair. Opting for a replacement makes sense given the age; update it is! Thanks much!

Hi,

This is a common problem with this series. If you have cleaned the rollers properly, i would suggest you to use a light quality paper and see, if that works. If not, it would confirm a hardware failure which could be either sensor or rollers. I would suggest you to take the machine to the computer shop.If the roller would be at fault ( which is a known cause ), they would replace it. The cost of the roller would be around $50. However, you need to take a wise decision as the cost of repair is still quite high as compared to the cost of the product. In these situations, you need to take a wise decision depending upon the cost of the repair, age of the printer and other factors. It is much better to buy a used Hp PSC 1210 for around $45 - $60 than to repair the existing one.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Paper wont feed on my hp psc 1210 all in one printer

Hi,
open the door at the back of the printer and clean the rollers.
Unplug the power cord at the back of the printer while it is still on and then after 30 seconds plug it back in.
If it will still have the same problem then there is a problem with its sensor.
Good Luck!

Repeated paper jams with envelopes I can't seem to even get one done out of the printer.

Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry.
Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print.
Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job.
Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Hope that helps!

Out of paper, but really not

try cleaning your feed roller with some methylated spirits..this should work.
its the roller that sits where the paper would lie on a black plastic arm! not the rollers on the back of the machine..

hope it works.

Hp 1210 paper will not feed

Hi ihimc1, over time dust and paper fibres can cause the rollers to stick, which can result in the paper not feeding please take these steps below to clean the rollers.
Turn off the all-in-one.Unplug the power cord from the back.Remove the rear access door. Clean the rollers one at a time using a clean cloth that is slightly dampened with water. Rotate the roller to clean the entire surface. Verify that the three paper feed rollers on the rear access door are clean and rotate freely.
Reinstall the rear access door and then plug the power cord back in.Turn the all-in-one back on.

Print cradle cannot move error

hi,

this seems to be a hardware problem..... anyway try this...

> unplug the powerchord
> open the rear access door, and check whether there is any paper jammed or any bit of paper or thread stuck inside.... if so remove it
> clean the rollers using a lint free cloth
> close the rear access door
> open the door so that you will get full access to the cartridges...
> move the cartridges to and fro for several times manually with your hand
> close the door
> plug the power chord
> try again to copy multiple pages
