PC Won't start

My 4 year old son chewed through USB Cable for Joystick. He probalby shorted the USB cable. PC Won's start now. The green link on on button blinks but PC does not start. When I opened the PC, I see a green LED blinking on the motherboard near the center front of the motherboard. Any idea what is wrong?

When i plug the cable into the joystick control (MK5SOJ+) all the lights around the horn button blink on and off motor wont engage and it won't shut off til pull out the cable do i need a

When you say the power cable I hope you mean the cable that comes from the main control module under the chair. I want to make sure you are not talking about the AC power cable that plugs from the chair to a wall outlet. So if we are on the same page about the cable is the one going from the joystick to the main control module under the chair and all you do is plug it in and the green speed lights start to blink this would indicate the joystick is bad.

Got my son a RIPTUNES MP-1872B for xmas the battery doesn't seem to take a charge. Is it junk now?

Look inside the port where you put the USB cable. Bet you $100 the pins are all smashed. I'm looking this same thing up as I type this, and that's my issue. LoL, I considered roughly 8 other possibilities; shorted/cut cable, old battery, non-supported charge stations etc. and wouldn't you know, I go to look REALLY close at the cable-end and port to see if they line up precisely (lots of cables look 99% similar. ie. PS3 cable, camera cables, printer know, that shape that looks like a trapezoid and a square smashed together?) and that's when I noticed the gold pins were smashed on the bottom. I'd like to say he's an irresponsible 8 year old, but did I properly train him in connecting and/or charging it? Hmm...

I can,t get windows 7 to recognize this joystick

Is this the version you have, ? If it is, click on Downloads, then select Win7 in the OS drop down and then the version (32- or 64-bit). Install the driver and see if that works.

If it doesn't work, check that your USB ports are working and active. Try a different port and check if a known working USB device in the ports. Try a direct connection instead of a hub. Check the Device Manager (Control Panel > System and Security > System) for an red triangle with an X or a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. If you have either one, try to update your drivers and make sure that the ports are not disabled for security. Also check for USB ports that are disabled for power savings (an advanced setting from the Screen Saver).

If these do not solve the problem, then the USB cord may be damaged. To fix, you would have to be confident in the ability to desolder the cable and then solder in a new one without losing track of which wire is which. (Standard USB 2.0 cables have pin 1 red +5 V, pin 2 white D- (data), pin 3 green D+ (data), and pin 4 ground.) If it isn't the cable, then it is the joystick circuitry and I have no information on the circuit board design.

I hope this helps.

Motorola S9 headset won't charge batteries

This might work if you aren't using the ORIGINAL charger. I had this problem when my cat chewed through the original Motorola charger. I figured my Blackberry charger would work fine, but it didn't. I then discovered that my Blackberry charger was 700mAH and the broken charger was only 550mAH. When I found another charger with the proper power it charged. I also found that it worked when plugging it into my computer with a standard mini USB. I hope this helps.

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't go

If your chair is run by a Pilot VSI controller, the error code----3 red/4 yellow/ 1 green---indicates a controller failure. I am having controller problems of a different kind on a Jazzy 1107 and it appears that few shops will work on the controller. Replacement is very costly.

When I bank right or left with joystick the screen Freezes

To check the joystick isn't the problem, go into control panel game controls, then check that the joystick appears and you can move the cross-hair around on screen, most modern joysticks are
auto-calibrating, but you could try running the calibration.

To check the game isn't a problem, unplug the joystick, then use the arrow keys to fly the plane, if it doesn't crash when you bank then it isn't the game.

I assume the game is Combat Flight Simulator 3, as very old games that were written for Windows 95,98,ME series often won't run on Windows NT,2000,XP,Vista as they are completely different versions of Windows. If this is actually Flight Simulator 3, you may need to consider buying a later version of Flight Simulator (FSX is the latest version, but may not run on your laptop).

Other things to try are updating the graphics card driver.

Norton shouldn't need deactivating, although it could cause problems if you're playing online.

Also remember that laptop graphics cards are never as powerful as desktop graphics, and games very rarely specifically support laptop graphics.

Hope this helps.

D-Link DFE-530TX+ installing on our desktop

That cable could be the wake-on-LAN cable, it is used for the connection of the card to the motherboard's wake-on-LAN slot, this is only used if your motherboard supports wake-on-LAN and you want to open your pc remotely from another location. But if don't need remote pc connection you don't need to install this cable.
