Is very easy.
1-One of the sid epanel of the tower had 3-4 screws, unscrew them.
2-Most panel can take out by slide back.
3-After this locate the RAM slots, and slot had on each end 2 secure handles, push them down, until the RAM sticks come up/out.
4-Do same procedure in each.
5-The new one is the same, but reverse procdure.

warning:do not touch the RAMS metal connectors with your fingers.

Ibm audio driver pentium d

The same model ThinkCentre can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your ThinkCentre, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true

I have an IBM NetVista PC model #830781U and want to install additional memory...1GB chip... How do I do it??

Ok, first of all before installing the ram, you want to make sure the ram you are installing into your computer if the motherboard support the type of ram chip you are installing it in. For your model it is ddr184 pin After this, you can take out your case panel which is the left side by unscrewing the 2 screws in the backside of the panel. Carefully take the panel apart from the computer and set it aside. What you want to located is the RAM slot on your motherboard which typically is 2 slot next to the cpu which has the big fan. Most likely one of the slot or both of the slot is already accompanied by the old memory chip. There are two hinges one on each side, bottom and top. Push these pins down and it would loosen up the memory chip that is already installed on. Replace the new memory chip and make sure you align the golden tooth pins extacly to the memory socket and then push down on the chip until it clicks. Test your computer if it works, if not. You computer may not support the memory chip.

I have Ubuntu 10.10 installed on my IBM R40 laptop computer. Although I installed two 512 MB PC2100 266 Mhz memory to both slots. However the computer only sees 512 MB. When I installed Ubuntu I perhaps...

Well, what a mine field!
I found this;
There are at least 9 different R40 Thinkpad models. Look for a label underneath & see if there's a "Type" number...something like 2681, 2682, etc. Once you find the number, go to the following site & select your model/type from the dropdown menu:
http://www.crucial.com/store/listmodel.asp?cat=RAM&mfr=IBM&productline=ThinkPad&submit=Go

And being a 256Mb standard, that may be all it can handle. The above link is rather old but worth a try.
Hope this helps.

Are there any lazer printers avialable for a PC 300PL IBM with only 84 MB RAM? At one time I had an HP.

For an old PC like that, youd need a Serial port. For a Laser printer, this is odd. However, there are adapters you can use! Ask your local BestBuy or Staples store for a laser printer and a serial adapter for it.

Hope this helps!

IBM Netvista PC is not ready for Windows XP, you should update its BIOS on its version so that you can install windows XP, maybe ACPI is not ready yet for this motherboard compliance to Windows XP, so download it at www.ibm.com

Would there be any 32bit PCI expansion slots on an IBM windows98?

There are PCI slots, but the processor, ram, and video capabilities are far below what modern components expect. You probably could get the wireless card to work, make sure the manufacturer has drivers for Windows 98 before you buy the card.

In my opinion you should maximize your RAM. For a Dimension 2400, Dell's manual claims the min is 128 Mb and the max is 1Gb. Not sure how you got to only 32Mb of RAM but you'll see a big improvement in performance if you increase it.

Do you have an old IBM or a Dell (the area you posed the question in)?
