The drum roller is held in place with a TRU-ARC snap ring, which looks like a C with 2 small holes in each end of the C. This is located on the front of the roller shaft and can be difficult to see. These ordinarily require the use of a TRU-ARC snap ring tool. However, I can guess that you don't have this tool, so, a putty knife, butter knife, or other thin blade, dull, tool would suffice Carefully wedge the blade in between the ring and the roller and gently twist the tool to force the ring out of the groove that it snaps into DON'T lose this ring! Slide the old roller off the shaft, clean and lubricate the shaft with Poly lube, slide the new roller on and reassemble. Of course the snap ring will have to be partially inserted into the groove, and forced the rest of the way with something like a ratchet wrench socket that fits against the ring,(not over it), and push to engage it back intio the groove.

Hope this helps! Repost me if you need more assistance,

My dryer comes on and spins, heat comes on but clothes do not dry. I took the front panel off, it fires up but it doesnt get hot in the the drum.

Try checking the blower wheel just behind the front panel and see if it's loose or if you spin it without the tub moving, the blower wheel is probably stripped or you have no air flow. Take the vent off the back off unit see if you have air flow there. Remove all excess lint you see anywhere

How to change a rear wheel bearing on a 2004 ford taurus???

How to Replace Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly on a 2nd generation Taurus

The following procedure is for a Ford Taurus (VIN S), with rear drum brakes and ABS.

1. Loosen wheel lug nuts, raise rear of vehicle, and support securely on jack stands. Block front wheels and remove rear wheels.

2. Remove brake drum (parking brake must be off).

3. Remove and clean ABS Sensor (Torx E8) with a spritzled rag.

4. Remove grease cap from hub.

5. Remove and discard hub retaining nut (36 mm). This is a compound nut, comprised of several nuts inside a metal cage. Use a 36 mm axle nut socket (e.g., OEM 25206). Many auto parts stores will lend you this socket. A 1/2-inch drive air impact wrench or breaker bar is necessary to remove the nut.

6. Remove wheel bearing/hub assembly from spindle. It easily comes off by hand.

7. Install new Timken Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly, for Drum Brakes and ABS (Part No. 512162). Tighten new axle spindle nut (Dorman 05114) 221 lb.-ft., replace grease cap, and button everything up.

My Maytag Depenable Care Gas Dryer has become very squeaky when the barrell spins. i took off the front panel and sprayed WD-40 on the backsides with the Plastic wheels and it went away for about 10...

Probably best to grease the wheels (called drum support rollers) rather than use WD-40 because that strips away the lubrication. It will also pay to check the drum support glides under the front of the drum. Worst case you may have to replace the support rollers.

Left front wheel wobbles when braking

have you checked the wheel bearings? with that wheel raised up off the ground with a jack and on a jack stand, place your hands at the sides of the tire and give it a shake, do the same with your hands at like the 3 o clock and 10 o clock position as to not get your hand hurt if something moves loose, and shake there to, if you feel any play it could be a tie rod, or control arm, spin the tire and listen for any noise, if you hear any you more then likely have a bad bearing....

Works fine but very noisy during spin cycle. took back off and turned drum by hand. Bearing very rough. Took out bolt in center of the back of the drum . Cannot remove pully to get to bearing.

The pulley will come off. You will need to use a pry bar or wheel puuler to remove it. It take a some pressure to remove this, but it will come off.
Just work with it.

Brake disc scrapeing on brake pads

Hi ...... I dont have experience of this particular model but something is def'ly wrong with the set-up as you have it.Take it apart and apply the brake with the disc in the caliper (support wheel on blocks/bricks whatever) and the put spindle through the wheel. This will show you the wheel 'centred' and give an indication which spacers you have go where. Only other thing you might have done is placed the speedo drive into the wheel without engaging correctly. Disconect at the clock/speedo and whilst spinning the wheel look to see if the cable is turning OK.
Good Luck ........... any problems let us know.

Drive belt out of alignment

check pulley is fully bolted home. also fault could be due to the bearing spider (on the drum) being broken or cracked on one leg. if this was so, would expect spin with clothes to be very noisy. get gack to me if you want. the belt is a stretchy belt ie no adjustment for tightness
