More than likely a parasitic drain.
Many times in courtesy system--Check after dark for any system lights burning, especially lighted mirrors if present.
If not found, drain test required.
Battery was completely dead ? after how long , over night , or just out of the blue ? These year GM vehicle's 03 to 06 have instrument cluster problems , draining the battery . Do you know what parasitic draw is ? Google it . They used lead free solder constructing the electronics , an after a while it causes silver migration . Just a hunch, is the SECURITY light illuminated somewhere on the dash when it wont start? If so, you have the anti theft shutting down your fuel injectors. Heres a link with info and solutions if this ends up being your problem. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/
2 things come to mind, first check and clean all battery and starter connections. second, maybe you have something draining the battery. next time it rolls slow, put on a battery charger and see what happens. also, even though it is a new battery, it still could have a weak cell.
sounds like you need to clean the terminals on the battery and/or need to replace the battery cables, check both ends of where the cables attatch to the battery clamps, if they look discolored, melted or corroded in any way , replace them.
it sounds like you have a braker going bad and it just went out the rest of the way...so if you can find the cicret braker that went out and replace it the truck should work fine....or it could be a relay that went out....try this and let me know...good luck..
