Question about Acer Aspire E360 PC Desktop

1 Answer

My Acer E360 is not booting windows. I have vacuum clean the Memory and also the processor and the heat sink which is attached to it. Now the problem is even worse, when i power the system unit, few components like the cooling fans, and the motherboard funtions, however the light that shows on the power button, which usually appears to be blue color and becomes stable is doesn't stay on. I also notice it makes some sound continuosly, which is not normal without even displaying the BIOS. Please, what do you think might be the problem? Thank you

The clean that you do is not recommended unless you got a very old dusty system.
Processors need a anti-heat cream before installation to prevent over heat. Try change the RAM sticks, if persists, dont spend more, buy a new one.

Hi we have an Acer 5536 laptop and after being used for around 25 mins it shuts down. The left front side (hinge corner) gets very hot, is this the position of the processor? Does it need the heat sink...

Please check the heat sink vents. If they are blocked with dust, clean them
You might also need to disassemble the notebook, & re-apply fresh thermal grease between the bottom surface of the heat sink & the upper surface of the processor.

or change the memory if possible...... and if problem still occur, please check the system processor too...
to check if the processor is functioning, remove the heat sink on the processor and boot the machine placing your finger on the processor chip.
it burns your finger after a short sec. BUT this should be done in a controlled way and after the memory had been tested for
