Switch one blade to another, if that does not work you can measure from the ceiling down to each blade on fan, the blades that are off. you have to remove and shim that blade up or down, put the shim or washer were blades hook on to fan. when the blades are level then it should be ok!! good-luck!

I am thinking you are on the right track. A noisy, wobbly fan has to be replaced and replacing the thermostat could reduce the fan speed as the problems are interrelated.

Hi marilynh57....
Try removing the fan blades and putting them into different positions.
This will sometimes solve your wobbling problem as some fan blades are heavier than others and this causes the wobble you experiance.

Fan is wobbling and noisy--cannot figure how to tighten the light fixture part of fan

I have a number of ceiling fans and its usally wise to just check that each blade as all the washes and fixing. As leaving just a washer out can alter the whight and balance. Some noise is to be exspected till they bed in so to speak unless they wobble really bad

My fan is wobbly and it makes a knocking sound when I drive. When I'm stopped or idling it's louder and the engine seems like it's going to shut off. What can be wrong?

If the fan is wobbling, even if the engine was running well, you should fix that. Either the fan clutch has failed or the water pump bearing is bad.
If it comes apart, it will do more damage and cost way more $ to repair.
Other running problem may or may not be related but do that first!!

My radiator fans are wobbly

Well its probably bent and a fan blade is hard to bend back. and make it right. My advise is to buy another one.

The fan blade is loose & wobbles on the shaft on my dodge dakota

Fix it now or forever pick up the pieces...You have one of two problems possibly both...The fan clutch that the fan is bolted to has a bad bearing. replace it Or, the bearing in the water pump has failed. again...replace it. If fan clutch failed carefully check pump ...shaft bearing can be damaged by wobbling assembly. Seriously...don't ignore this if fan gets loose,it will damage far more than the problem you now have!!!
good luck!!
