Here is a list of things to get your printer back working again.
First you will need to uninstall your printer, to do this -
Go to start,
devices and printers
right click on the Epson
click remove device
next...
go to start
control panel
installed programs,, click uninstall
scroll down and when you find the Epson, click to highlight then click uninstall
Unplug your printer from the power source
If you have your printer driver cd, insert it and begin the installation process.. if not go to this link and download and install the software..
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=26322&infoType=Overview
download the drivers
when downloading, click on run to auto install
once this process of installation is complete plug the printer back in, allow for time for your computer to recognize it and try to print again.
If you are still getting the same message, pull out both inks and unplug the printer from the power source with the ink out. turn the printer back on and insert the ink again and allow the printer to now recognize the ink and attempt to print again.
Also please make sure that you are using only the Epson brand of ink in your printer or you may continue to have this problem, even if the above works, it may repeat itself if proper ink is not installed.
Hope this helps!

will lead you to the site to download this driver. Printer Driver v5.5bAs

It says it has the ink monitoring program in it.

Best bet is to uninstall the printer from your computer and reinstall it with this new printer driver.

try re-installing the printer driver software or getting an updated driver from epson.com>drivers+support> enter the necessary type of printer( all-in-1 or stand-alone) find ur model. choose correct OS for ur system and get a free download of the driver if ur driver is not up-2-date. epson, mac, ancient, slow, outta date, windows, 3 computers on 2 floors in our townhouse. cross-platforming upstairs/downstairs. with getting all to work on all 3 computers. mac 10.2.8, windows XP, windows vista...lol. don't ask why i'm skinny. i love Epson scanners+printers for yrs. now. Error with me epson r300

Hi-

when you go ro check ink levels- is it saying that there is a specific cartridge that you need to change? red light indicates no ink and all of the cartridges should have ink in it. try uninstalling cartridges and reinstall it and make sure you hear a click when you press it down. if that doesnt work, call epson 562-276-1300 for a complaint and replacement of ink. best i got!

thanks for using fixya!
