It does seem to be difficult getting manuals for the Welbilt Microwave ovens.

I have not seen one of these before so I am just guessing, but if the microwave has childlock button then keep it pressed for 10 sec or so and that should disable the childlock. If not try other buttons like stop/ cancel or start.

I am assuming you have already tried to switch the power off and on and that has not helped.
But if the keypad is not responding then it could not be the child lock but the keypad has come to end of life and needs replacement. Not sure if they still make these - so might be hard to find a replacement keypad.

Please suggest your responses to the other options that I have suggested other than turning the power off and on.

Hello April,

If any OVEN FUNTION is being used...
The controls cannot be LOCKED off...

So no... REQUIRES PUSHING 2 buttons & holding
for four (4) seconds... (not likely to be accidental)

The steps to Lock & Unlock are the same...
(see reference page (click here)

Touch and hold the COOK TIME pad and
the STOP TIME pad simultaneously for 4
seconds.

Likewise SELF CLEANING is described in great detail.

When I try to turn my oven on, it says LOC. I don't know how this happened or how to reset it. Stove was in the house when we bought it a few months ago.

That message is normally visible when cleaning the oven at high temp. Or it is the child lock. Did the owners ask if you wanted to buy it and you said "No thanks" :>)

Try removing the power plug at the back for 30 seconds and reconnect. If that doesn't work Google

make model manual

Removing the child lock often just involves holding two or three keys for a few seconds.

Child lock

I can't find any mention of a child lock in the manual:

It seems to only lock when it is in self-cleaning mode @ ~320 degrees centigrade

Turn off child lock

Can you identify the model of the oven you need help with or anything like that? Not all child locks on ovens are configured to function or be utilized the same way.

Frigidaire Gallery Series Oven Locked

Not familiar with this particular stove, but it sounds like you activated a child protection lock. To turn these on and off, you have to hit that lock icon and hold it for 4-8 seconds for anything to happen. This is so that the kids won't have sense enough to unlock it, assuming that you locked it to keep them out!

Also, frequently they work  in stages. Hitting it one time (for 4-8 seconds) will lock the panel, hitting it another time will unlock it, hitting it a third time might lock the door, and so on. So RTFM, or just keeping hitting it multiple times for 4-8 seconds each, and see what does what. But the manual should tell you everything you need to know. You can go to the GE website, or to managemyhome.com, which is maintained by Sears, and you should be able to find a PDF copy of the manual if you don't have the manual that came with it.

Model SVE 47600 - oven door remains locked after self cleaning

Called an appliance repair serviceman....after checking it out...turned out to be a sensor that actually burned up (first time using cleaning feature!!). The oven got so hot it actually burned the wiring going to this sensor. Pretty scary! The repairman said he doesn't trust the self cleaning feature...recommended doing it the old fashion way! He's had to repair many ovens due to the lock remaining locked. IF you do use the feature, he said to absolutely remove the racks first because they will slowly warp and you'll end up replacing them due to uneven cooking (i.e. lopsided cakes). It cost me nearly $200.00 to clean my oven! Could have had my entire house cleaned for that amount!!
