If the phone says contact service then it is possible that the mainboard or the software has to be reloaded once again.

I have one of these phones, and unfortunately nobody's figured out the algorithm to calculate the unlock code for the 1661.
Don't go to those 'free unlock code generator' sites as they don't have the right software to create a code for a DCT4+ (which is basically the latest generation of Nokia phone) handset, and if you enter a wrong unlock code over 5 times it won't accept an unlock code even if it's correct.

If you're encountering this kind of problem on your phone then all you have to do is powercycle your phone.You can do that by removing the battery while the phone is on.After 15 seconds kindly reinsert the battery and turn the phone on again.If you still have the same error message then kindly go to a different location because it might be that the phone is not getting a good reception.And if you still have the same problem then kindly contact your service provider because its a probable issue with the network,not with the phone.
