Does the primer bulb fill with fuel when pumped several times? If not check the primer bulb for cracks or holes and the fuel lines (including the one in the tank) for any decay or other damage. If all looks ok, remove the carburetor and do a thorough cleaning inside and out. Inspect the the lower chamber diaphragm for hardness, or cracking. Also inspect the small needle valve that the diaphragm controls for a damaged tip or gunk accumulation. There is also a small screen which may be plugged that passes fuel from the upper chamber down to the lower chamber through the needle valve. Finally, inspect the impulse passage that runs from the cylinder, up to the rear of the carburetor through gaskets, and a heat isolator block. Go to: www.drystacked.com for a 12 page article on Walbro brand carburetor theory and troubleshooting, which applies in general to other brands as well. Hope this helps!

I have an Echo CS330T chainsaw. It was running full throttle and then suddenly died. It will not start. No turn over, spark, nothing. There's gas in it. ; Any ideas?

Remove first the exhaust (muffler) and look at the
surface area of the piston if it have grooves on it then there is most case a hanging piston ring then it loose compression. if there is no spark then the ignition-coil or the sparkplug itself can be defect.

The stopbutton cable is melting on a hot molten then it could be have created an permanent closure. o follow the cable that runs to the stop button from the ignition coil

Echo cs-3400 wont start . no spark. what are the primary and secondary coil readings?

if you have no spark

check for faulty plug 1st, then pull kill wire off at kill switch, then check for grounding ht lead ,
then pull kill wire off at armature , if still no spark most likley faulty ignition armature
i suspect the part number you need if its type 1 is 15662639130
replace it and set air gap and reassemble and test

here is web site for parts

or you could try www.partstree.com , go to echo saws , then find your model

cheers hope it helps

SAW WONT START IT HAS FIRE TO THE PLUG AND IT WONT START WHEN I SHOOT A LITTLE ETHER IN IT

If the engine has good compression, and good spark, it should at least 'pop' several times. Check the flywheel 'key' as it may have sheared causing the ignition to be out of time. Hope this helps!

I ran my echo 14 inch with no air filter and now it wont start

Remove the muffler and check the condition of the piston/ring(s) and cylinder. If badly scored, you have probably drawn in enough debris to damage these items. The fix is to replace these parts--warranty, if any, won't cover this type of damage, and the cost of repair approaches the cost of a new saw. Hope this helps!
