If it is a Bosch, the following just worked for me: pull out screens and on left side of sump (looking down into bottom, 9:00 position) has a torx screw holding cover over drain pump, remove screw, cover has tab towards backside to lift towards you. glass is clear in water. and if no debris , spin impeller blades to see if jammed/frozen. if so, replace drain pump from front left side.

Hf error

Unplug the power and remove bottom front panel (three torque screws) to access drain filter. When opening drain filter cover (large round piece about in the center behind front cover) you'll get about a pint of water. You can stop most of this from dumping on the floor by placing a shallow bowl under the drain filter when opening it. Clean the filter and run wash cycle again. If still receiving Hf error, then problem is probably drain pump. Remove three screws and inspect for damage and as long as you've gone this far, I'd replace it anyway. Best source of replacement pump (and housing) is E-Bay. You shouldn't have to replace the housing, but a lot of pumps are sold with it. If you've lost or can't find the parts pamphlet that came with the machine, visit the Sears website for a parts break down for your model. Sears replacement parts are generally more expensive than found elsewhere, but site is a good source for parts info if you need it. Hardest part of the job is finding the correct torque bit size for screw removal. If you do remove the drain pump assembly, the hoses are a pain, but easier if using vice grips to hold open when removing and reinstalling.
Good luck

Miele dishwasher Model G1023 drain light stays on and dishwsher will not work

Hello fellow DIY'ers,
Have just had the red light drain/inlet error terror!
Tried all the basics, including:
- check and clean inlet hose filter,
- check and clean drain hose,
- remove and clean all the filters in the bottom, and
-remove and clean the non-return valve.
Still was left with water in the bottom at the end of the wash and the red light drain/inlet error.
After researching further I found that this light also indicates a flooded unit. There in a shallow pan in the base plate and if water collects there it activates a float switch, stops the wash, and lights up the drain/inlet error.

To fix it:
- Disconnect power, water and drainage.
- Pull out your dishwasher, suction/remove all the water from the bottom. This includes the water in the salt reservoir, the drain pump and non-return valve.
- Tip the dishwasher onto its back.
- Remove the four star head screws (sometimes a small flat blade screwdriver will fit these) from the base plate.
- Remove and inspect the base plate. It won't have any water in it as you've just tipped it up. But you will see if it's wet and any staining where the water has sat. It only takes a small amount of water to activate the switch.
- Clean and dry the base plate.
- Have a good look around for leaks in the base of the unit. There was none in mine. Our dishwasher is a snug fit under the bench and we had been doing 2-3 washes per day for several humid weeks leading up to this problem. I believe the water builds up over time and doesn't get a chance to evaporate.
- Put it all back together again and test it.
- If it works, go buy yourself/your family dinner because you just saved yourself about $420!

Regards,

DIYTom

Our maytag mhwe300vw00 washer shows an error of F21, which states that it can't drain. I checked the drain hose and outlet pipe, though, and they are not blocked. We followed the manual to reset it, but...

You need to take off the bottom kick plate by removing three screws. Behind the plate you will see a filter on the bottom right. Open this filter and remove any blockage you may find.

Location of oil filter

The 2007 Tundra 5.7l engine doesn't have a spin on filter - it uses a replaceable paper cartridge within a permanent housing. Located under the skid plate on the front-left portion of the engine, the oil filter unit has two coolant hoses, a black plastic screw-in housing, and a large, metal, round screw with a 1/2" square fitting in the middle of it. The cartridge-type oil filter is in the housing.

If equipped with a skid plate, access is accomplished by removing the 5 skid plate bolts, allowing the plate to swing down on integrated hangars (with the front plastic bumper skirt still attached). To completely remove the skid plate, three small screws holding it to the front plastic bumper skirt must also be removed.

Toyotafilter kits contain a new filter cartridge, a plastic drain plug, and two O-rings. The drain plug is used to drain residual oil from the filter unit prior to removing the plastic screw-in housing. After removing the large, metal, round screw with a 1/2" square fitting in the middle of it, the plug simply snaps into the bottom of the plastic housing. The smaller of the two new O-rings replaces the existing O-ring on the screw.

Once drained, the plastic screw-in filter housing is removed using a filter wrench (Toyota special service tool). The larger of the two new O-rings replaces the existing O-ring on the screw-in housing. VERY CLOSE ATTENTION must be paid in placing the new O-ring - failure to properly seat the new O-ring could result in a massive oil leak! The filter itself is currently only available from Toyota.

I have a 1959/1960 Envinrude 35 HP lark long shaft. I have removed the lower screw on the skeg to drain the lower unit oil. This screw also has about a half inch non threaded shaft and an O ring to seal it...

Ok, I think that the screw that you took out was a phillips head screw. The drain for the gear oil is a common or flat head screw. The one that I think that you removed was the screw that holds the cradle in place for the clutch dog. Not a huge deal but the best thing to do is to use a pick to try to line the hole up. If that doesnt work or it still shifts wrong then you need to take the gearcase off and remove the internal components to reinstall them correctly. I would get a book to do this or have a shop do it. It should take them about an hour if you go to a good shop.

Where are three screws that access drain filter

Hello there.

The three screws are on the very bottom of the washing machine. There is a kick plate underneith the door and below that plate there are 3 (hex) screws. Once you take the plate off, there should be a filter right before your eyes. Whirlpool makes it easy to access it.

Thanks for your inquiry and using fixya. Hope this helped :)

Kenmore elite calypso HE washer

HI mlh,
Good to here your not giving up. First we have ld from a long drain and then ob or out of balance. The LD and OB are from the same problem, water in the machine.
How far is your drain hose in the drain? Should only go three inches, maybe four and use a zip tie to secure. This will ensure a strong drain with out causing a siphoning problem or build up in the tub and hoses. The second issue is if the tub drain is clogged. You can pull the nutate dome off and carefully remove the bolts found under it noting how the rubber boot is under the wash plate as to prevent leaks. Inspect for sediment and lost socks. After each step I encourage testing to prevent to much labor when it is not needed. If all looks good the pump is on the bottom right side. You have to remove three 5/16 screws to swing the black plate down. If it is a gray pump with clips and it is leaky or froze I would replace as there is a new high power pump that works better.
