Hey NEAG,

If you are looking to obtain a price match through your local Best Buy™ store, there are a few criteria that must be met in order for us to be able to honor a competitor's pricing:

* The sale price must be current - we cannot honor expired pricing.

* The sale price must be offered by a local competitor, in a physical brick-and-mortar store. Please keep in mind that what constitutes a local competitor may vary from store location to store location, but a good rule of thumb is that the competitor must be within the same metro market.

* Web-only pricing (through companies such as Amazon.com or eBay) cannot be honored. Best Buy™ stores are only able to price match Bestbuy.com, and another competitor's online price if it is being honored at their own local store.

* Limited-time only sales, bundle packages and other special offers (such as rebates) cannot be honored.

* Price matches cannot be combined with any other offer, such as the HDTV Advantage.

* The product being sought must be in stock at the local competitor in order for the price match to be honored.

Should you have any other questions, I would strongly suggest referring to the following Best Buy™ website for more information:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=page&contentId=1118843518460&id=cat12098

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Broken screen samsung lnt4042h

A screen is the most expensive part of any flat screen TV, or monitor.

My best advice is to take pictures, and put it up on eBay. Warranties don't cover broken screens (almost never) and the cost of getting the screen replaced comes far too close to the purchase price of a new on to justify fixing it. I hate to say it this way, but the only thing that TV is good for now, is scrap. You have several components in it though that will fetch a decent price, if you're willing to pull it apart, and package up the three boards inside. You may expect to part it out for somewhere a little over a hundred bucks, or sell intact, as it is for much less, and shipping is a lot, and I mean a whole lot more. They don't care if the screen is already broken, they still treat it as breakable, and the weight pushes shipping up too.

So, in short, open it up, pull the three boards out, and sell em. You can sell all the wires as well as a kit, (must be all wires though) for a few bucks as well. The rest? Take it to the scrap yard. And for your next tv, it's worth buying a sheet of plexiglass, and epoxying it to the front of your TV. It won't protect against it sliding of of your wall mount, but it will fend off any amount of flying Wii controllers.

What are the advantages of buying a certified diamond and what is the best certification to get?

Remember that a real diamond is supposed to match the qualities on its papers. You should get it certified by EGL or GIA. Also a certified diamond will also come up with a map which shows the inclusions in the stone. It is recommended for the diamond owners to have it certified by EGL or GIA because its value become more expensive and it will be easier to sell or trade the diamonds. Also when buying diamonds you should go to a small family jewelry stores as they normally offer the best price and great quality of diamonds. Their mark ups are normally lower compare to mall stores.

Samsung Cracked Screen

You no longer have a TV but a parts unit. In most cases, It will cost more to replace the screen than buying a new TV set. Although it is cracked, it still has some value, don't toss it in the dump. Throw that puppy on Craigslist or Ebay(if you have the shipping box) someone will be interested and buy it. Just be realistic with your asking price. Don't be like some lady I encountered who wanted $350 for her Dynex 42" LCD with a cracked screen !!!

I need to replace the power supply on my Westinhouse LTV-32W1 flat panel TV. What is the Part number and where can i buy it?

Go to Ebay and type in the model number in the search and scroll down to reveal the availibility and price. Shopjimmy.com may have one too. Be sure to match up the number from your board.

52" LCD FLAT PANEL TV SCREEN IS CRACKED WARRANTY

Hi,

The no BS answer would be that's it's going to cost you marginally less than the TV did originally. I can't give you an exact price as it depends on which panel is in the TV and whether you intend to replace it yourself or have it professionally repaired. Philips 52" LCDs range from maybe US$800 to $2000, so it really depends on which model you have.

If you want to post back with those details I can get a more accurate price for you.

Cracked screens aren't covered by the warranty, but there are several options available to you:

1. Try to claim on your insurance if you have accidental damage cover included in your policy or pay extra for it.
2. Replace the TV and sell the other one off for parts. This will probably save you a few hundred dollars on the price of just buying the screen. It's fairly easy to sell them on eBay.
3. Buy a used panel or faulty TV from the same or similar model. Again, eBay is a good source for these and will save you a fair bit.

I'd suggest insurance is the best option here if you can take that route, I'm more than happy to look into the price of a brand new screen for you and also investigate the costs of options 2 and 3 but I will need to know the model number to do so.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Samsung LN-S4692D - Vertical lines (>15) & static on screen

this sounds like a scan board gone ,, if you check ebay youll see two things,
1, other tvs for sale with the same fault (It might give you a clue to the fault ie , which board )
2, the same tv as yours with a broken screen ,

i dont know how good you are with taking things to bits but i personally would buy the tv with the broken screen and start swapping over the internal boards ?

Have you checked your home insurance policy for broken tv,s
it may have fell of its stand when you were'nt looking?

Price gurantee

Hey ces5000,

In order for your local Best Buy™ store to honor a lower sale price there are some basic requirements that must first be met:

1) Best Buy™ stores are only able to price match local competitors that have a physical, brick-and-mortar presence in the same metro market. This means that web-only companies such as eBay and Amazon cannot be price matched.

2) Proof of the lower sale price must be provided in order to obtain a price match. This generally can be done by showing a sales associate a sales receipt, weekly advertisement or other in-store signage provided by a local competitor.

3) Best Buy™ is unable price match clearance, open-box and limited-quantity items, and cannot honor bundle packages or other vendor-specific offers such as rebates.

4) Price matches cannot be combined with any other offer, including coupons and double/triple Reward Zone® points promotions.

5) Price matches can only be obtained through a Best Buy™ store location. We are currently unable to provide price matches over the phone or online.

If you'd like more information regarding this policy, I would suggest checking our online FAQ using the link I’ve provided below.

Price Match

Greetints jr1271,

A few things need to be met. It needs to be a brick and mortar store (no online only), it needs to be in the local market area of the store you are trying to have do the match, and it needs to be in stock. If all this is met, then there should be no issue price matching for you. You would simply take your receipt into the store to price match. Remember it needs to be within the return exchange policy though!

I hope this helps.

Thank you,

Dorothy
