My lg ally locks up or freezes up what can I do about it or are they going to make an app for this in the android market?

If its an android try closing some background apps

Being a android OS phone you will have to go to setting and then manage application. Else you can also download uninstaller's which are there in abundant in the market, it gives a clear link for the software to be uninstalled.

You have to make sure the videos are in a playable format for the phone to play them. Currently only .mp4 videos are supported without the help of apps

Your HTC Wildfire has the Android 2.1 OS. As such, there are several apps at Android Market you can use to download books. Just download whichever app you need. Most are free.

However, I STRONGY suggest that you download Lookout to your phone before installing any apps!

There is no way to do it for now. Future updates may include that capability, however. If you download an app called MixZing you can increase the bass on music, but only if you are playing it through the MixZing app.

Try this: Open up settings within the text message program and look at the setings for test message limits. Example: Mine is set at 200. Perhaps this is a culprit. You can try to use "Handcent" from the market place also, it is free and has many nice options. If you are still unsuccessful you can try some very knowledgeable people at Android Forums!

The Froyo update did cause some problems with the Ally. Most of the issues can be resolved by doing a factory reset on the phone to clear your data and apps. First, back-up all of your data and make a list of the apps you want to re-install. Then:
- Go to Settings. On the home screen, tap the Menu key (with the 4 lines) and then tap Settings.
- Scroll down to "Privacy" and tap it.
- Tap "Factory data reset"

Once you do the reset, your phone should reboot and work better. Reinstall your apps one at a time so that you can identify if any of them cause an issue and remove the problem causer.

Download a good file manager from the Market. Two that I use are OI File Manager and Astro. You can just search "file manager" to find others in the market and read reviews to pick out one you might prefer. Once you've installed the file manager, open it and use it to browse to your SD card. From these managers, which work very much like Explorer in Windows, you can open files, install programs, move, copy and rename files.
