Question about Fuji FinePix F40fd Digital Camera
When i turn my camera on i keep getting zoom error and when i turn it off the lens won't retract completely. What can i do to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Unfortunately this is one of the hardest cameras I have come across to repair. The plastic guide lugs inside the lens which keep it stable are so small that once they get damaged they are virtually impossible to repair and only a replacement part seems to rectify the problem. Source a donor camera on ebay for a cheaper option than sending to fuji. F45fd and F47fd use the same lens so these are an option for a donor if F40fd is not available.
