I recently got a new Westinghouse oven and put foil on the bottom to keep it clean while I was cooking in my second day of use. I didn't realise that there was a botton element and not the foil is baked on to the bottom. I have tried getting it off with a cream cleaner but it wont come off. What can I use to get the foil off the bottom of the oven.
I put tin foil on the oven floor to catch food drippings and now the tin foil won't clean up, actually baked right into the enamel. Is their any remedy for cleaning up the foil?
Unfortunately, it's too late. The tin foil has melted into the panel and can't be removed. You should never place anything on the bottom of a stove that has a hidden element. You will damage the panel. Oven operation is not affected. The only option you have is to replace the panel or the entire oven liner...
