Question about U-Line Icemaker

5 Answers

U-Line 95 I have a U-Line 95 in a motorhome that is overflowing water. I suspect the motor but don't know the correct diagnostic procedure. Also, the water inlet valve could be sticking. How do I correctly diagnose this problem. Also, I was told that a "head assembly" was available instead of a complete icemaker assembly but I can't find anything like that. Thanks, Bob

Thanks for that input ... I've been thinking about that exact thing wondering if I should just take the whole thing out and test it for a leak. The best price for an ice maker assembly I found was just under $200.

The part number is #150 faceplate. This would be the motor and switches. Approx $55.00 Appliance parts depot would have it. Or try all brand parts.

Parts are available without buying the entire complete ice maker. Try is where we purchase our parts locally however I am sure there are other places.

I have a BI95 on my boat, same problem, got it diagnosed today, the ice mold is deteriorated and leaking, see if there is any white plastic coating that is coming off. If so, you have to replace the entire ice maker unit. You won't like the cost.

U line ice maker is overflowing water

This is usually caused by a bad water inlet valve. This part is usually found behind the fridge at the bottom behind a panel on the fridge itself. It has 1-2 water lines running into it and 1-2 wire harnesses connected. You need to turn off the water going into the fridge and cut the power to the fridge to access this part. You can buy a new one at a local appliance parts store or online.

Seems like my icemaker overflows when filling. I have an ice build up around the plastic box. How can I adjust water

There is not an adjustment. The ice maker dump arm has a cam on it that engages the water fill switch. switch is bad or ice maker motor has a bad spot in it .

Water led blinking twice

If your machine has the CM3 Universal controller on it and the red light is on at the Diagnostic water then you have a water fill problem.
1. Check the water filter to make sure it is not stopped up, if so then replace it.
2. Check to make sure the water supply line is not kinked.
3. Check the water supply valve remove the supply line to it after you shut off the water supply there is a screen in the back of the valve make sure it is not stopped up.
4. Check the water fill valve, First turn the machine off now push the Freeze tab with a meter check the solenoid on top of the valve to see if you are getting power to it withe the water hooked back to it and on, if no power to solenoid then check the sump water sensor and replace it. If sump is full of water check water pump see if you have power applied if you do then replace pump. At any time did you replace the Service controller? and if you did, did you set the selector switch on the side of it to the correct Model- Program that is on the back of it? With out the model number i don't know if you have a CM3 machine or a PRODIGY controller.

Give-me plis a wiring digram manual of the Ice Maker U-Line BI-95

Your going to call U-line and ask for it. 800-779-2547. Now what are you trying to do? I can give you the wires on the thermostat. Terminal 1 is red(icemaker) Terminal 2 is yellow(common) Terminal 3 is blue/black(compressor and cond fan motor) When yellow and blue or black are closed this will run the compressor and fan.Thermostat is satisfied then the red and yellow are closed and it advances the icemaker. Ejector blade at the 12 oclock calls for freeze cycle. at 2 calls for heater to come on(inside icamaker) at 10 oclock it trios the water switch and calls for water. Then back at 12 oclock calls for freeze cycle. Temps should be 10-15 degrees in the bucket. Warmer the setting the more ice it makes.

Water over flow

Depends on the model. It could be a water switch that is sticking or a motor in the icemaker running to slow. My advise is to replace the faceplate of the icemaker. Part #150

Model 95 Icemaker no ice

The cycle starts when you turn the icemaker on. It starts the dump cycle when the compressor turns off. The mold heater turns on and the cycle motor stalls until the ice cubes release and lets the moror complete its cycle. Then the compressor starts to repeat the cycle. If the mold heater is bad (it should read about 80-85 ohms) it will not dump all the ice and the mold will overflow on the next fill part of the cycle. If the over temperature switch is bad (checks open) It will not let the mold heaters work. The over temperature switch should NEVER open. If it IS open the mold heaters will not heat. MDB
