Hd receptiomn

To get HD reception one needs to use a decoder and then the signal OUT from the decoder goes by cable to the TV set, that is now used essentially as a monitor.
however if you have a fault use the service manual's troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue.

My mitsubishi tv turns on for 3 seconds then turns off

Hi,If you hear continueous clicking most likely is t an issue with the ballast which is the board that powers the lamp. But if you dont hear it often and tv is between 1-2 yrs most likely it's time to replace the lamp.

Tv was on and shut itself off. it now wont turn on. the green power light comes on then clicks off after 1 or 2 seconds with no picture ever coming on

The lamp is busted. Check and replace. Contact your dealer for lamp replacement information. Dispose the busted lamp properly. It contains mercury. Call your local authorities for proper disposal.
