Instable work of potentiometers

Pitch control ist extremly asymmetric and jitters a lot. Can I open the device to clean the potentiometers? I removed the drills, but I cannot open the device. Ruedi Heimlicher

Can do. You must first remove the handle; 4 screws, 2 near to the base, 2 upper in the handle. Lift the little tab beneath the handle, and it snaps open. Disconnect the cable from circuit board. Then remove the grey plate around the stick with throttle-scale and 5 allen key screws on it (fake ones, can't remove them!): I simply lifted it, quite hard, with a flat head screwdriver. Raw force seems to be the best option here, no damage done. Then the top cover will lift off.

The grey plate was pretty annoying. More so when you think about that it's there just for good looks - imho failing there - and, what's more important, the effort could have been used to make the mechanics better and at least somewhat accurate. Oh well..

The 5 cap screws that hold the bezel ring over the throttle slide: do they actually thread into something?

These cap screws thread into the basket inside the hull of the WingMan. This basket holds the mechanical parts and the potentiometers. If you wish to take a look on the interior of the hull (or case), it's better to open below; the bottom plate is secured by 5 Phillips screws located in the middle of the cushioning rings - except one of them, located nearby. Be careful.

Hi, When you set your joystick up using the in game controlls menu try this. Try setting the controls from the bottom up I will try to explain. Lets say in the controls menu from the top it starts like this> 1)Pitch forward 2)Pitch backward 3)Roll right 4)Roll left. Start with pitch backward and pull the joystick back, It should auto input the pitch forward control. Next you would move on to roll left, It should auto input the roll right control. Get what im saying, You should only have to input one direction the other should auto input. Had the same problem with my LG extreme pro for BF2. Hope this helps good luck!

Hi, Please uninstall any LGS version present on your OS - Then please proceed to clean boot. ( http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=228 ) -> Unplug all the USB devices connected to the computer ( Less keyboard + mouse ) please use corded kbd+mouse if possible rather than a cordless device. -> Go to device manager -> Delete all the USB HOST CONTROLLER -- All of them -- -> The host controller might reinstall them itslef, let the computer handle the reinstallation -> If the computer does not reinstall the host controllers, trigger the detection using the DM function " Scan for new hardware " ( The computer with magnifier icon ) -> Once reinstalled, clean boot -> Reinstall the software, plug the hardware when needed. -> Should work.
This TB delete the usb ports " memory " means if a device as been previously flagged with error, it will redetect the device without the flag, unless there is some serious issue with the hardware/OS
If after this the issue persist, then I suggest you to call Logitech support to issue a replacement, hardware failures are covered by warranty terms

Will not steer...all other buttons work

Probably a bad potentiometer on the wheel. This is the device which defines the rotational position of the wheel shaft. It may also be a broken wire to that device.
