If you have difficulties connecting your cell phone to your computer and unable to download the photos and music files to your computer. If these files are stored on the SD card on your cell phone, then remove the SD card from your cell phone and insert this SD memory card into an USB memory card reader. Connect the USB memory card reader into the USB port in your computer. The computer will see the SD memory card as an external storage device, you can then open the various folders on the SD memory card and copy the files to your computer.
You do not download music to the GPS, put music files onto a SD card and then put that card into the GPS. You have to remove the Map SD card to do this so you cannot play music and use the GPS at the same time.
The easiest solution is to leave it as 'mass storage', then navigate to it, my computer, mass storage, ect, Then just right click & open it. Now open your pictures, music ect. on your PC, drag & drop to the phone. That's how I do mine. You will be able to drop them into whichever folder you want. You might have to drop them into a folder on the phone then copy & paste them to the SD card after you disconnect from the PC. If you have more questions leave a comment, I'll be happy to help. Good luck.

I'm about to purchase the same model. I'm reading the instructions I printed off Nextar's site and it does say the unit is designed with SD card slot and supports MP3 and WMA format files playback. You can insert ther SD card with MP3 or WMA files in the unit for music enjoyment.
