Hi! Yes the water reached the top of the tub and continues to flow over the tub. When I unplugg the machine the water shuts off. Now, the washer will stop filling if I manually stop it and turn it to the point of agitation. It will then rinse and spin but everytime it fills up again I have to run out and stop it before it flows over the top.

thanks ! Yeah I did that and the clear tube is connected and clean with no holes so I'm pretty sure it's the switch also. How much would you estimate a repair man would charge for a job or do you
would charge for a job like that or do you think I could do it myself? Thanks for all your help

The water came all of the way over the top of the tub? (you could see it over flowing when you lifted the lid) This is important as it could signify a leak else where that would still get water on your floor. Did it keep on filling even when you turned the unit off?

The most common source is a problem with your pressure switch. First open the console ( where all of your dials and knobs are). This is done by removing the 2 phillips screws on the back of the console where it meets the top of the washer. Pull the botom of the console towards you and then rotate it up. The pressure switch is located behind the water level knob. Verify the clear tube is securely pushed on to it. If it is secure, you probably have a bad pressure switch. This can be ordered on line or picked up from a local appliance parts store.

Sorry tanz05, I didn't get the update on this one. To answer your question, if you already have the console open, you can swap it out easily. While the unit is unplugged, go back to your water level switch (left hand side) Pull the knob off from the front side of the console. Now, swing the console open. The switch has a connector with wires and a clip that holds it on. Gently pry the clip until you can unplug the connector. Next, remove the clear hose that just pushes/ pulls on or off. Next there is a tab where your switch touches the machine. Gently bend this tab up and rotate the whole switch 45 degrees. Putting the replacement one in is just the reverse. You can get a replacement switch from your local appliance parts store or online from the manufactures web site. Remember they will both need the model number (open the lid and look to the ceneter where the lid meets the top of the washer. it is on a plate there)

SOURCE: hi there washer GurU!

The water pressure switch hose may have fallen off.
To access it REMOVE POWER, lift the console by one of three ways.
1. Look in the back of the console, in each corner there will be a screw, unscrew until the console can be pushed forward.
OR
2. The trim on either side can be pried off from the top, grasp and pull forward to expose to expose a screw.
OR
3. insert a putty knife under each corner, push to release a latch.

The switch will be on the left (water level control) there should be a clear rubber hose connected to a nipple on the switch.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Overfilling in your washer occurs mainly due to two things: water inlet valve going bad and/or the water level switch. If the water inlet valve has gone bad it won't be able to shut off even when the electricity has been turned off. If the issue is with the water level switch then it won't tell the water to shut off and the machine will overflow as this switch is to sense the water level in the clothes tub. However, with that being said it seems that you'll need to replace the water inlet valve. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

I am getting error code...NF

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error NF means No Fill. The washer has tried to fill but was unsuccessful. NF indicates No Flow. There is something that is interrupting the inbound flow of water to the washer, either hot or cold. Sometimes this happens when water service in the area is interrupted, creating an air pocket that causing the water valve not to sense water.

Try running the diagnostic test by—
  • Press the delicates and heavy soil keys together for 3 seconds.
  • You are in the service mode.
  • Now, press wrinkle free key, cold water should start entering.
  • Then, press the cotton sturdy and hot water should flow.
  • To exit the test mode, either unplug the machine or press the delicate and heavy soil again for 3 seconds.
Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Washer stops working after 1 minute and an F flashes

Hi,

The error indicates that there is no water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected..If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
    2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
  • 3. Verify inlet valve operation

  • If there is water in the unit:
    1. Verify Drain pump operation
    2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch

  • Verify there is not a siphon problem

  • Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check all hoses for possible leaks

  • Verify pressure switch operation

  • Verify flow meter operation

  • Verify CCU operation

Thank you !!

Whirlpool washer f30 code

Hi there.
We just bought a brand new washer and had the same thing just happen to us. Found out after taking the lid off that the top had pinched down on the mechanism that turns and allows the water to flow in. We were stacking out laundry baskets on top of the washer which did this. After taking the top lid off and touch it it began to move and is working properly now.
Have you tried this?
Hope it helps someone out there in the future if not you now.
