Hello...i am using sony ericsson k550 i had a trouble in that i cant send any files through bluetooth my bluetooth is not working pls any one tell how to solve this prob

Make sure your phone and the other Bluetooth device are charged, switched on and within range of each other. Make sure Bluetooth wireless technology is turned on, and that the devices are set to be visible for other Bluetooth devices. Check that the two devices are paired, and have found each other. If there are still problems, you'll have to reset the connection and pair the two devices again.

In some Bluetooth installations, you must activate a COM port manually in your computer. This is done differently for different brands and models of Bluetooth devices. Please see the manufacturer's product documentation.

If a COM port is not activated

1. In many cases, you can right-click on your phone icon in the window where all found Bluetooth devices are shown, and select a 'COM port activation' item in the menu. Make a note of the COM port number of the activated port.
2. Open Sony Ericsson PC Suite and click Tools/Phone Monitor Options.../Com Ports. Enable the COM port you activated in step 1.
3. Keep the Bluetooth wireless technology turned on in your phone, restart the computer and try to connect again.

How to use infrared port in sony ericssion k220i . what is main use of infrared port. what can i do using this facility?

Hello,

The infrared port is by the left side of the phone, it is along the line that splits the front and the back of the phone. It is mostly covered by a thick red glass or plastic.

Infrared is a device on a phone that allows you to send and receive file using the infrared radiation wireless wave. It works like a bluetooth device, just that it must be placed close to the infrared port of the phone that is sending or receiving files from. You cannot send or receive files that does not have infrared using your own infrared.

Infrared can be used to send and receive files (data, song, pictures, videos etc).

To use the infrared of the sony ericsson K220i, you have to go to your phone 'menu', go to the 'settings', select the 'connectivity', then you select the 'infrared', turn it 'on', when you are to receive a file, you place your phone close to the sending devices infrared port. Also when receiving a file, you do the same.

When you want to send a file through infrared, you go to the file you want to send, you select the option, select send from the option, a pop up blog will come up asking you how you want to send the file, you select via infrared and your infrared will come on, the device you are sending it to would have its infrared turned on as well. The infrared ports must be placed close to themselves before the files can be sent.

Take care

Need to know how to pair my phone with uconnect phone it is a LG385

You can pair your phone with another phone if your phone has either bluetooth or infrared. If the phone does have any of the tools, then go to settings on phone, then look for connectivity, then select bluetooth if it has and select ON to activate your bluetooth, then search for the phone you want to pair with...the same method applies to infrared but your phone must have an infrared port for connectivity reason. Thanks

How to connect my pc to my cell-phone using infrared connection

Not all PC's have IR ports.  You'll need to check the system BIOS, see if there is an option for and IR port and if there is ensure it is enabled.  Once enabled, it should be listed as a device in Device Manager.  If you need further assistance, post the model of the system and the Version Of Windows installed so we can give you more details.

Bluetooth fault

There are two places where can be the problem. 1. Bluetooth module is faulty 2. Infrared module is faulty. Mainly there is a problem with bluetooth module. This module needs to be replaced with hot air. It needs to see repair center. But think...Repair will cost you at least 40 pounds. Is it worthy?
