Question about Samsung SGH-X830 Cellular Phone
With most models of these phones, if it is locked you will have to send the phone to the factory service with proof of purchase. They will wipe out the complete operating system and firmware. Then they will reload the phone as like when it was new.
If you do not have a backup of any important data in the phone it may be lost in the process of re-initializing the phone.
For this service the manufacture service rep will charge for their time.
Some advice is to not let anyone mess with your phone, or put in a password yourself and not give it out to anyone. It will ask for a confirmation to change the password if someone else tries.
